Do you want to go walking around the historical sites on a chilly day rather than the sweltering heat? May and early June is a great time to visit as the summer heat hasn't fully started and given you time to explore the sites comfortably. The summer months July and August are ideal for the beach! Springtime is a lovely time but chilly however still a good time for trekking up the snow capped mountains.
Costing approximately 50 euros a day; this included entry into a few historical sites. Lunch, evening meal, and the various coffees {and the odd pastry! Try and eat at the local cafes rather than the top restaurants as these work out expensive instead grab a pitta for lunch, cheap and delicious! If you do decide to eat at a fancy restaurant bear in mind fish is very expensive wherever you eat.
Santorini is a stunning gem of history and culture, but it may come at a small price! Be prepared for delays, ferries never leave or arrive on time! You're on holiday anyway so no big deal as you can grab a coffee and a pastry and relax! The fabulous little street vendors selling authentic Greek cuisine are happy to let you grab a bite relax and enjoy.
