Lisbon is very lucky to have the warmest winters in Europe; but not the disadvantage of suffering from intense summer heat. The sub-tropic coastal climate is prone to sudden bursts of rain even on its clearest days, so be warned.... We at Private Tour recommend going in late spring or early autumn as hotel prices are lower and the amount of tourists are manageable.
Hostels and Hotels are unusually affordable considering the high standards here, and bargains are usually easy to find outside of the busiest summer months. Most of the attractions are free or cheap and don’t forget about the famous Tram 28 that trundles through all of the exciting tourist neighbourhoods in one loop as you get to ride along with locals for a standard tram fare. Drinks and food are reasonably priced are bargains are great.
