I personally found it fascinating and quite moving as well as feeling it was totally impossible for anyone to continue to spin that fast for that long without falling over dizzy.

I've seen whirling in a mosque small city before. Separated seats by genders, photograph possible and donation-based ceremony with local audiences. A heart-warming event.

It is a ceremony we dont really understand, but you must learn to appreciate the religious aspect of the full ceremony... They give out leaflets so you can read what they are portraying during the ceremony.

I had attended this show with a tour group, and I was not disappointed. The “show” is solos. You are not meant to clap as it is a religious experience for the performers. I absolutely loved it.

We thought that we should experience as much of the Cappadocia area as possible, and I am very glad that we included this attraction. The performance is about an hour-long, and although they do not permit photos while it is on, they do come back after and "whirl" for a few pictures. Seriously, it is a dizzying experience!

A pretty unique exhibition of the spiritual dance. If you are planning to attend this event, please be advised that the absolute silence is a must (no hand-clapping, talking, photos taking [until receiving permission to do so]). You will not be disappointed.

I thoroughly enjoyed the process conducted through prayers, chants, relaxing music and traditional instruments. Sitting in a caravansaray made it even more authentic and mysterious. It transformed me to centuries of long ago.
