Just me and my wife were picked up from the hotel. We were very impressed with the ceremony. While the ceremony was taking place there was total silence. I was very impressed with that.

This religious ceremony was very moving...I felt that I had wandered into a place of worship in an alien environment and got drawn in by the music and the dancing. I had read quite a bit about the meaning of the ceremony and thought it was exotic and unique. I was particularly interested in the music, which was typical Middle Eastern in sound and rhythm, with ancient instruments producing the melody and percussion.

I had agreed to see the whirling dervish ceremony because my wife persuaded me to and also everyone else was going so I didn't want to feel like a party pooper. I didn't know much about it. I'm so glad I went. The ceremony is mesmerizing.

This is amazing and the old building that they whirled was cool. The music was very relaxing. This was something, watching them start slow and picking up speed and not get dizzy or run into one in other it is a very spiritual experience. This is well worth coming to see.

I was very moved by the religious feeling and the amazing whirling that the Sufi followers practiced here in the Caravansary. Many visitors who were also captivated by the movements but also the feeling of pure meditative and religious feeling that was conveyed by the followers of Ru mi. The music the instruments and the whole event was something that I would not have missed. This is the heart of Ru mi's life and teachings.

Watching these men twirl, and noting the calm expressions on their faces was a relaxing experience for me. I did not want them to stop. The musicians were excellent also.

Brilliant performance by the whirling dervishes, I was shocked that they didn't get dizzy, and loved the fact they wore traditional clothing. Fantastic show.

It has been a long held dream to see the Whirling Dervish. The experience did not let me down. It is a fantastic mystical experience. The rite including the music and the symbolism is one you will always remember.

The dervishes were quite simply mesmerising and I was moved by the grace of their movements and at how so completely they were at one with their source. A spiritual experience.

Amazing ceremony loved every second of it.
- Helen D · RO2022-07-05Traveler review
It was totally different from anything I had ever witnessed. At the beginning when the music started, I found it best listened to with my eyes closed. It created, for me, a serene atmosphere. The Dervishes were unbelievable, so calm, peaceful, so wonderful to watch, I felt that I could be enveloped into their midst. To me, it was a very spiritual experience and well worth the visit.
- Hester C · BE2022-07-04Traveler review
This was quite amazing to watch the dancers start off slow and then just pick up speed how they do it without getting dizzy is quite something they also have beautiful voices worth a visit

I thoroughly enjoyed both the music and the devotional movement. It was a time of quiet relaxation in a full programme of touring.
- Ernst Y · LU2022-06-02Traveler review
No photographs or clapping as this one is not a performance but their daily ritual. Once they are finished their ceremony you have a brief five minutes to take photos whilst they whirl for you and then they just disappear. It is a well worth experience.
- Johwy S · ZA2022-05-30Traveler review
An amazing performance, mesmerising, no photos until the end.
- M Peery · US2022-05-29Traveler review
Because they said no photos during the performance we did no bring cameras and regretted it. The building, a restored caravansary is gorgeous and after the service is finished they give you a few minutes to take photos of the dervishes themselves.

- C Aber · IL2022-05-18Traveler review
I personally found it fascinating and quite moving as well as feeling it was totally impossible for anyone to continue to spin that fast for that long without falling over dizzy.
- Mira G · PH2022-05-16Traveler review
I've seen whirling in a mosque small city before. Separated seats by genders, photograph possible and donation-based ceremony with local audiences. A heart-warming event.
- Karen P · US2022-05-04Traveler review
It is a ceremony we dont really understand, but you must learn to appreciate the religious aspect of the full ceremony... They give out leaflets so you can read what they are portraying during the ceremony.

I had attended this show with a tour group, and I was not disappointed. The “show” is solos. You are not meant to clap as it is a religious experience for the performers. I absolutely loved it.
- Suzanna G · RU2022-04-25Traveler review
We thought that we should experience as much of the Cappadocia area as possible, and I am very glad that we included this attraction. The performance is about an hour-long, and although they do not permit photos while it is on, they do come back after and "whirl" for a few pictures. Seriously, it is a dizzying experience!
- Adriana Z · GR2022-04-23Traveler review
A pretty unique exhibition of the spiritual dance. If you are planning to attend this event, please be advised that the absolute silence is a must (no hand-clapping, talking, photos taking [until receiving permission to do so]). You will not be disappointed.
- Jock Y · US2022-04-21Traveler review
I thoroughly enjoyed the process conducted through prayers, chants, relaxing music and traditional instruments. Sitting in a caravansaray made it even more authentic and mysterious. It transformed me to centuries of long ago.
- Vivienne R · FR2022-04-16Traveler review
No applause, cameras, smoking or eating is allowed in the chamber. This is a religious ceremony and is conducted in a special circular hall where the dervishes and musicians are positioned on a raised stage. Those who come to view the ceremony are seated around the stage in silence. No photography is allowed during the ceremony, although a special whirling session is conducted directly after the ceremony, where photography is allowed. A wonderful sense of calm descends on the watchers as the Deverish enter and perform their rites. It takes an hour to conclude.
