Overview

Start the comprehensive day tour of Xi’an in the morning, the tour guide will pick you up from your hotel at around 8:30-9:00 am.

It takes approx. 1 hour driving to the Banpo Neolithic Village. Banpo Museum was built at the base of the excavations of the Banpo site which is a typical Neolithic matriarchal community of the Yangshao culture dating back about 6,000 years.

You will see how the resident matriarchic tribe used to survive in the Neolithic age Continue the sightseeing to explore the Terracotta Warriors & Horses Museum and Qin Shi Huang Mausoleum, which are the highlights of Xi’an.

These terracotta warriors and horses are the size of a real army, and were buried alongside the Emperor - Qinshihuang in a vast underground palace.

Follow the tour guide to explore this most significant archeological excavations of the 20th century, see 7,000 life-sized figures in ordered rows and learn the history of Xi’an. On the way back to downtown, visit the Terracotta Replication Factory and get to know how to re-made terracotta soldiers.

Seeing the Terracotta Warriors is a must see in your life. The day trip was well organised and the guide spoke very good English. Well worth the money.

If you visit Xian, the Terracotta Warriors are a must. On this tour you also get lunch and go to the Banpu Neolithic village. It is a fascinating display if you are interested in history and archeology, or even if you are not. There were only 11 of us on this tour which made it easier to keep up and understand our guide. I have to say that this is a tour well worth doing.
