Overview

Pick three of the UK’s most popular locations off your bucket list with this affordable day trip from London. See the royal town of Windsor and soak in mesmerising sights of Windsor Castle, the venue for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding, see the world-famous Stonehenge and the university town of Oxford.

Windsor
The town of Windsor is famous around the world for being the home of Windsor Castle, the official residence of Her Majesty The Queen. Windsor sits on the River Thames and is a quintessentially English town with its cobbled streets and quaint tea rooms. The picturesque Windsor is rich in history, culture and heritage and it’s no wonder why it tops the list of must-visit UK locations for most tourists.

Stonehenge
The 5,000-year-old Stonehenge monument is one of Britain’s most intriguing and famous landmarks. Sitting atop rugged Salisbury Plain, Stonehenge’s origins still continue to baffle experts and visitors alike. We don’t know who put these huge rocks there, or why but you can have the chance to piece together the evidence and try to work it out for yourself! Theories stem from a Bronze Age burial ground to an astronomical clock, so do some investigating of your own as the tour travels to this famous location.

Oxford
From Stonehenge, the tour will move on to the university town of Oxford. Take a stroll through the scenic cobbled streets and get acquainted with the historic city during a guided walking tour. See the Colleges of Oxford University, the oldest university in the English-speaking world! Alumni include T.S. Eliot, Hugh Grant and Bill Clinton – a star-studded lineup! You will also see the 17th-century Bodleian Library, where countless scholars have studied over the years.

My family and I were visiting from the US, and we wanted to see Stonehenge since it wasn't too far away from London. We didn't know when we'd travel to the UK again, so the tour was a must! We went on the Oxford, Windsor and Stonehenge tour, and we were greeted by *GRAHAM* as we got on the bus. He was a wonderful tour guide! We could definitely tell that he loves his job. He made us feel welcomed, and he was very informative about each of the areas that we visited. He also was clear about how long we had to visit each site so that no one was left behind. The tour day was long. There is a lot of time travelling between each location, so there is downtime to rest and relax. We purchased the lunch with the tour, as well, which was adequate to fill us up. We had approximately two hours or so at each stop. I see how some could feel rushed, but the length of time at each location was enough to see what we wanted. GRAHAM recommended a pub to go to when we returned to London. The place was packed, so it was definitely the place to be! The food and beers were delicious, so we appreciated the recommendation.ALAN, our driver, was also great. He got us to each location safely and kept us comfortable on the ride all day. CHEERS to Graham and Alan!

f you have only one day to look around it's a good option out of London. Be aware that the time is short in each touristic spot and the bus was not prepared to hot days. Eugene and Chyral were amazing!

Lally was an amazing driver who got us to every destination on time and safely! Graham was extremely knowledgeable about Oxford and told interesting information about the trip in-between. I truly appreciated Graham's stern ability to control the talkers on the bus while I was trying to listen to what he was trying to say.

Rhys is wonderful. He is knowledgeable about the History of Windsor Castle, Stonehenge and Oxford. The point appreciated me is that he is willing to discuss during the moderate coach travelling time, one by one on any questions. We can explore the Windsor, Discuss any Theory on the Stonehenge and tell us quite a couples of stories on Oxford that match with modern days movies such as Harry Potter and X-men. At the end of the tour, Rhys is willing to teach one-by-one on travel long back to our hotel Last, he also teaches us quite a couple of shopping places other than Oxford Street, Regent Street and SOHO area. Many thanks !!

This tour is a great way to fit three awesome attractions into one day. Unfortunately, you don't get to spend a lot of time in either of the three locations, but you get enough to see the main points of interest. The bus was comfortable and our driver, Romeo, did an excellent job. The highlight for us was our tour guide, Andrew. He was very knowledgeable and entertaining. He made Oxford a very special place for us to visit because of his memories there. Would highly recommend the Eagle and Child pub in Oxford for a quick drink before returning back to London! We had a great day.

S kamarádkou jsme si zakoupily celodenní zájezd se spol.Golden Tours a byl to opravdu příjemný výlet. Najít autobus poblíž Victoria station byla trošku výzva ale nakonec se nám to podařilo. Řidič Kris i průvodce Eugene byli velmi milý a cesta díky nim nebyla únavná ani nudná. Eugene měl vždy co říct jak z historie, tak i zábavné historky. Musím pochválit i dámy z rezervační kanceláře, byli velmi ochotné a udělali pro naší spokojenost maximum. Rozhodně doporučuji tuto kancelář.This trip was really nice, comfortable and we enjoyed it. The driver Kris and guide Eugene were great. We had a lot of fun.

Our driver was Tony and our tour guide was Sandra, they worked excellently as a team. Very informative, plenty of jokes and the drive went through certain areas which allowed us to see plenty extra from a distance. Fitting those 3 attractions into one day is certainly packed, so come prepared, listen to to the tour guide, and in general stay with the group. You will get a quick look at each of the attractions, but don't expect a whole lot of time. I personally thought it was about right though, for the number of activities that are fit into one day.

We had an early start to a busy day. We took the option of being picked up from a hotel on Park Lane. We were driven to the central tour terminal where we joined our tour group. It was all very well organized. We went to Windsor first.W e got to see the town, the train station, the castle museum and the castle grounds. We were lucky to see the castle guards perform on the grounds. Very good performance. The Stonehenge was our next destination. We got to see a lot of the English countryside. Our bus drove along a route that gave us a glimpse of the Ascot grounds. We were provided with lunch on the road. It was okay because we had time to grab more food at Stonehenge and Oxford. The Stonehenge was awesome. For a history buff like me -it was absolutely gorgeous. The facilities were excellent-bathrooms, gift shop, the food shop. Our last stop was Oxford. We got to see the town. Since the university was spread out all over town, this tour was not enough to cover a total Oxford tour. We were disappointed that it did not include the Dining Halls made famous by the Harry Potter movies. The architecture of Oxford was gorgeous. We got to London early evening. There was no drop off service. We took the underground to our hotel in Mayfair.
