Overview

Pick three of the UK’s most popular locations off your bucket list with this affordable day trip from London. See the royal town of Windsor and soak in mesmerising sights of Windsor Castle, the venue for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding, see the world-famous Stonehenge and the university town of Oxford.

Windsor
The town of Windsor is famous around the world for being the home of Windsor Castle, the official residence of Her Majesty The Queen. Windsor sits on the River Thames and is a quintessentially English town with its cobbled streets and quaint tea rooms. The picturesque Windsor is rich in history, culture and heritage and it’s no wonder why it tops the list of must-visit UK locations for most tourists.

Stonehenge
The 5,000-year-old Stonehenge monument is one of Britain’s most intriguing and famous landmarks. Sitting atop rugged Salisbury Plain, Stonehenge’s origins still continue to baffle experts and visitors alike. We don’t know who put these huge rocks there, or why but you can have the chance to piece together the evidence and try to work it out for yourself! Theories stem from a Bronze Age burial ground to an astronomical clock, so do some investigating of your own as the tour travels to this famous location.

Oxford
From Stonehenge, the tour will move on to the university town of Oxford. Take a stroll through the scenic cobbled streets and get acquainted with the historic city during a guided walking tour. See the Colleges of Oxford University, the oldest university in the English-speaking world! Alumni include T.S. Eliot, Hugh Grant and Bill Clinton – a star-studded lineup! You will also see the 17th-century Bodleian Library, where countless scholars have studied over the years.

It was a good service, but the lunch was a little poor. Other than that, the tour was quite good. The attractions are incredible. It's really worth it.

Our guide Graham and driver Allan spoilt us for a fantastic day out. Graham's typical London style and humour were on point. His knowledge of the sights was fantastic. "Lovely jubbly diddly dies" will be our catchphrase for the rest of our trip! Highly recommend touring with Graham and privatetour.com

Excelente servicio de Graham and Kiram.

Great opportunity for those who wanna go to the three destinations and don’t wanna spend a full day on each. There were some things missing, for example, we didn’t have time to visit the dining room from Harry Potter at Oxford. The guide was really nice! Ps.: bring something to cover your ears because at Stonehenge it winds so much!

Graham was our tour guide and did an amazing job. The castle, Stonehenge and Oxford were WONDERFUL but Graham added much to the depth of our experience with background info and current events affecting the areas. Travel was heavy but Amrish the driver did an excellent job. Both men were gentlemen and never made us feel rushed or that we had a foolish question. This tour was the best we took in the UK

Gracias

I'm Italian and the last summer, 2017, I visited London with my son, 13, for the second time together. London is magnificent and very interesting as always, of course. I wanted to visit Stonehenge with my son and took advantage of this daily tour recommended by my travel agency. It was a wonderful experience. The weather was beautiful and we had the pleasure of being accompanied by a prepared and very nice guide, Tony. Immediately he explained to us that to enjoy the trip we had to respect the times. Both Windsor and Oxford certainly deserve a whole day. Stonehenge is unique. For a passionate, it is a visit to do at least once in life. Thanks to Tony, for his sympathy, his explanations and his attention. And thanks to him for pointing out to us with his behaviour and his words how important is the figure of the Queen for the English. Thanks to Tony and Graham, the bus trip was quiet and precise. We will definitely choose privatetour.com again in the future for our excursions. A foresight, for a non-Londoner, is not easy to immediately draw the starting point because Fountain Square is very large, it would be to indicate a little more flashy.
