The painting of nude models has been popular in the artistic world for thousands of years, from Ancient Greece to postmodernist schools of art. Many great artists such as Manet, Titian and Velasquez specialised in this type of painting, and today many of their greatest works are hung in major international art galleries.
Although this genre of painting continues to be criticised even today in some quarters as eccentric or immoral, it has been commonly accepted as one of the great forms of painting.
All the materials and supplies are provided as part of the cost of the workshop. Likewise is the nude model (male or female), who is eager to see what you can do with your chalk. You will be given a short introduction by the teacher, who will instruct you on the basic techniques of nude painting with charcoal. Then it’s time to create your masterpiece!
Our models have practised and perfected a number of poses to ensure that you have the opportunity to capture all of his or her finest features. The nude model will be present at the workshop for one hour.
After an opportunity to refine or embellish your work, there will be a chance to compare ratios and proportions with your fellow artists, whilst enjoying light refreshments.

Easy CancellationThe following charges will apply where you either cancel or are deemed to have cancelled the travel arrangements: (a) no charge will arise where cancellation occurs prior to the issue of the invoice email; (b) once the invoice email has been issued, the cancellation will render you liable to a charge of 25% of the total cost of the travel arrangement cancelled. This will increase to 100% if cancellation occurs either within 7 days of your scheduled arrival or anytime following your arrival at your holiday destination. Tickets for museums and other attractions/activities are non-refundable after purchase. Please ask your booking agent before booking an event if this is the case.

- Where an activity cannot be provided due to circumstances beyond Kennedy’s control, such as adverse weather, closure of licensed premises or where an activity supplier has ceased to trade and a suitable alternative cannot be offered, a full refund for that activity will be provided.
