Arrival in KathmanduNamaste and welcome to spiritual land—Kathmandu! A representative from will greet you at Tribhuvan International Airport and drive you to your hotel.
We recommend a tiny walk around Thamel to gather refreshments.
You will then have enough time in the evening to enjoy the nightlife of Thamel/Kathmandu.

Early in the morning you head to Tribhuvan Domestic airport to catch a flight to Lukla. It is a short 30 minutes flight from Kathmandu.
The gorgeous mountainous view will strike you. The beautiful hills, green mountains and lakes onboard will warm your heart.
Once landing at Lukla you will be accompanied by other trekking members especially, porter.
Then our trek begins to Phakding. You will enjoy the company of our guide and witness the natural and scenic beauty. The green environment adds flavor to your journey.

Through the trails of Dudh Koshi River you trek forward to Namche Bazaar.
Your instant destination is Monjo. Crossing beautiful pine forests you arrive at Monjo. Monjo is the entrance to Sagarmatha National park. It was built in 1979 AD.
Walking some miles you come at Namche Bazaar, where you can walk around the bazaar and introduce yourself to the locals.

It is a day to take a rest.
However, you won't remain idle and you will explore Namche and visit Sagarmatha National Park.
We also go hiking to Everest View lookout. This is a day to adjust your body to the altitudes that will make up the rest of your treks, in the coming days.

Today you go for an uphill climb.
Moving higher you will see a path that leads you to Tengboche. The entire path is surrounded by other beautiful Himalayas.
You can get acquainted with various flora and fauna. You may even catch a glimpse of the Danphe (national bird of Nepal). It is especially found in hilly regions.
From Trashinga the route goes downward to Phunkitenga. You will climb upwards, passing through the rhododendron forest and arrive at Tengboche. Here you may visit a Tibetan Buddhist Monastery that stands sheltered by the mountains.
Tengboche will mark a memorable part of your Trek.

Now your trek to Dingbouche begins.
Passing through a beautiful forest area and White Mountains you transcend towards Dingbouche.
It is a soothing trail that lends itself to quiet personal contemplation and pleasant exercise.

Walking through Khumbu Glacier we move further to Dugla. You will love the breath-taking shots of Tawache and Cholaste on the way.
Lobuche is a cold place. You will feel chilly after arriving at Lobuche.

Finally your dream comes true.
Today you trail towards Everest Base Camp. It is a place where mountaineers gear themselves up for climbing Everest.
The moment you arrive here you will feel magical. This heavenly experience can never quite be put into words.
After spending one of the rare moments of your life here, in late noon you descend to Gorakshep.

Now you are on your way to Kalapattar.
You will be surrounded by a wall of mountains everywhere. Walking for a few hours you arrive at Pheriche.

After heading back from your main destination you come to Tengboche.
Due to this exciting path there is never a dull moment. The aroma of rhododendrons makes you forget your tiredness.
You will enjoy your trail back. You explore Tengboche on this day then moving onto Namche Bazaar.

You arrive back Kathmandu through Lukla on a flight.
After arriving in Kathmandu you can roam the city, enjoy shopping and taste the local cuisine. In the evening you will be offered a hearty farewell dinner from our staff.
This dinner is regarded as a thanksgiving for successfully accomplishing your trekking.

Your tour begins from Kathmandu, Durbar Square. Here you observe centuries old temples, feel their energy, have the opportunity to experience and understand an ancient culture. As you begin to put all of your previous learning and conditions aside you will be left feeling refreshed and unburdened.
Kathmandu Durbar Square is located at the heart of the city. According to stone scriptures, Kings in Lichhavi period constructed palaces and temples in the 3rd century. At present, no remains of that period are found as the place has been renovated and reestablished several times since then. With the rise of Ratna Malla in 1484, the palaces in the square turned out to be Royal Palaces for Malla Kings. Different Malla Kings built many temples on the site in different time periods. There are 50 temples in Kathmandu Durbar Square.
The entire Durbar Square premise is divided into two quadrangles—inner and outer. The main palace and Hanuman (Monkey God) Dhoka (door) is located in the inner quadrangle whereas the outer is comprised of Kasthamandap, Kumari Ghar and Shiva-Parvati Temple. Kashtamandap is the temple of Gorakhnath (Lord Shiva in the form of cow protecting Lord) built in 16th century by King Laxmi Narasingha Malla. It is a pagoda style wooden temple. The name of Kathmandu is derived from Kashtamandap. This temple was built from the timber of one single tree. Hanuman (Monkey God) Dhoka (door) was built outside the palace by King Pratap Malla in the 7th century with the belief that the god will protect his kingdom and palace. He built several other temples including Sundari and Mohan Chowk in the north part of the palace.
Kumari Ghar (house) is another major attraction of Kathmandu Durbar Square. It is the residence of the Kumari, a living goddess. Kumari is a pre-pubescent girl who is worshipped in the form of Devi or female energy. It is believed that the Kumari is the bodily incarnation of Taleju or Godess Durga.
Swoyambhunath Stupa This site is very beautiful as it is located on a hilltop. The prayer flags, prayer wheels and lit butter lamps make the environment very aesthetic. This is a place where seekers lose themselves in unison with cosmic energy. It is a place where people really endeavor to know the difference between transcendence and mortality. Visiting Swoyambhu is all about rediscovering your personal inner connection with divinity. It is not about getting something spiritual but rather cleansing your unnecessary thoughts and feelings and preparing yourself for supreme consciousness. Swoyambhunath is one of the oldest religious sites of Nepal and is regarded as the greatest Buddhist shrine. It is also known as the Monkey Temple. People of any religion can visit here. According to history, King Vrsadev founded Swoyambhunath in early 5th century AD. It is said that Lord Buddha visited here in 5th century and spread his message of truth, love and compassion. The dome based Stupa is of cubical structure with painted eyes of Buddha in all four directions. The literal meaning of Swoyambhu is self-existing. It is said that settlement in Kathmandu Valley began with Swoyambhu. According to legends, King Shantikarcarya built the stupa here. He later became monk or Bhikchu. It is also said that a lotus seed was planted here by Bipaswi Buddha on a full moon night. This seed later grew as a sparkling lotus with many petals and pistils. Bodhisattva Manjushree saw this spiritual lotus.
Manjushree was so much occupied by the beauty of the lotus and was determined to settle a village in the Kathmandu Valley for the first time. Despite the fact that the valley consisted of a lake, he cut a gorge at Chovar, creating passage for water to flow. This is the reason why the very foundation of Kathmandu Valley is spiritual. Pashupatinath Temple Pashupatinath is the national deity of Nepalis. The temple is a great Hindu shrine and is the greatest pilgrimage site of Hindus all over the world. The literal meaning of Pashupatinath is Lord of animals. The temple is built in pagoda style. Lord Shiva is worshipped in the form of Linga here. It is a stone structure of Lord Shiva with four faces in four sides of a cylindrical black stone. The temple is located in the bank of Bagmati River. Among 12 jyotrilingas, Pashupatinath is considered as the head whereas the remaining 11 collectively make a body. All of 11 jyotrilingas are in different parts of India. There are many sadhus (saints) in search of truth who wander in Pashuptinath area. To the south of the temple is Aryaghat where people are cremated after death. You will observe this cremation for some time as it is one of the meditational techniques developed by Lord Buddha. After some time of observation, we move towards east of Pashupatinath following stone steps to reach Guheshwori. This temple is worshipped as female energy.
From here we move westward to arrive at Gaurighat where Lord Gauri is worshipped. She is Lord Shiva’s wife. Your next destination is Bouddhanath. Bouddhanath Stupa Bouddhanath along with Swoyambhunath is a major religious destination for Buddhists. As you approach the temple you are greeted by the painted celestial eyes of Lord Buddha. The eyes of Lord Buddha are meditated upon whilst roaming the Temple. Rotating prayer wheels for some time, we enter the stupa. The stupa was built by Lichhavi King Shivadev, originally in 590 AD. The base of the stupa is surrounded by a brick wall and 108 depictions of Amitabh Buddha are seen there. There are 50 monasteries in Bouddhanath area.

Today is the end of your Everest Base Camp Trekking.
We say our good byes with the hope of seeing you again soon! A representative of CNA will escort you to Tribhuvan International Airport three hours prior to scheduled flight.

- Moreover, also bring power bank to charge your mobile or other devices. Bring good back up for your camera.
- Bring at least 30 packets of electrolytes.
- We also suggest you to bring hand sanitizers, head torch, personal toiletries, prescribed medicines.
- If you are young and healthy, then you may not require pole. But in general, we suggest guests to rbing a pair of poles. Otherwise, you can also buy poles here in Kathmandu and it might cost you at around US $14 per pair.
- Do not forget to bring water bottles and water purifier. Water bottles are available in the trek but it will cost you up to US $5/bottel. So, it is best to bring your own bottle and get it filled and purified with purifier.
- Although teahouse offers you a blanket, but we suggest you to bring your own sleeping bags. After all, it ensures your peaceful sleep. Moreover, you can also hire sleeping bags in Thamel and they charge US $1/day.
- Get nice piece of sunglass and make sure they are polarized for protection against UV.
- A sun hat to get rid of sunrays is optional choice but warm woolen beanies are mandatory.
- A pair of water proof gloves.
- A pair of T-shirts
- Bring thermal wear which is quite essential once you reach Tengboche.
- Bring at least 4 pairs of hiking socks with extra insulation. Such socks are especially made for hiking purpose.
- Get camp shoes, too. It is light pair of shoes which we can wear while staying in teahouse. It serves a purpose of slippers.
- For the protection against wind and rain, get windproof jacket.
- Suggest you to bring a down jacket of good quality (real goose feather). You can also hire down jacket in Kathmandu and its price is at around US $1/day but it has synthetic filling. You can also hire down jacket at Namche Bazaar and it costs you around U
- Hiking boots of good quality. Better purchase it there in your home town or in the place where you live and get used to with it before trekking. Ankle boots are highly recommended.
- Get a 60L backpack for the trek.
- You will be accomodated in local teahouse while on trek as there is no facility of star quality hotel. This will also help you get acquainted with local culture and tradition, Sherpa culture.
- Accomodation while on trekking is sharing based and you have to share washroom with other guests.
- On an average, you wil be walking for six hours every day.
- Trekking to Everest Base Camp leads you to an altitude of around 5,700m in Kalapatthar.
