Take a fantastic private day tour to Fayoum Oasis and visit Karanis where 2 Temples were built and contain the incredible House of the Crocodile. Visit Lake Qarun where you will see fabulous migratory birds and Wadi El Ryan with the most stunning waterfalls.

Your private tour guide will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo to accompany you for a visit to El Fayoum Oasis. Once you have arrived in El Fayoum you will go to the town of Karanis where 2 Temples were built to worship the God Sobek, Petesouchos and Pnepheros. Both these Temples contain the incredible house of the Crocodile.

Enjoy the beautiful sights of Lake Qaroun, here you will see an amazing array of migratory birds. Lake Qaroun is the 3rd largest Lake in Egypt and is apparently the oldest natural lake in the world.

Journey onto Qasr Qaroun the remains of the Grecco Roman City of Dionysios. The Temple was dedicated to the God Sobek and from the outside appearance it is very square, but once inside there are rooms and staircases which lead to the roof. Not many of Egypt’s Temples have roofs and those that have do not allow access so this is a unique must-see.

On this marvellous private tour, you will visit Wadi El Rayyan, which is a protected area. Here at Wadi El Ryyan you will notice a natural depression, and you have the opportunity to enjoy the fantastic Waterfalls which are connected by two Lakes.

This 4 hour tour was perfect for my husband and I. Our guides knowledge of the city and its history was fabulous. But most importantly, her enthusiasm, energy and organization were outstanding. She really listened to what we wanted to get out of our tour and structured it perfectly. she was an absolute pleasure to spend time with as well. You should too!
