Golden Circle in a Monster Truck and Snowmobiling
This day includes scenic sites, mountain tracks and snowmobiling by Langjokull glacier. In the morning, you will be picked up in our modified super Tuck, for a day packed full of wonderful sights.
You will visit Thingvellir national park, which is quite unique for its’ landscape, where the tectonic plates are drifting apart.
Further inland, you will find the iconic Geysir area with its’ spouting hot springs, where Strokkur can reach the height of around 25 meters, erupting every 10 minutes or so.
You will also stop by Gullfoss waterfall, one of the many amazing waterfalls in Iceland, known mainly for its’ majestic beauty. A little bit inland after Gullfoss the action starts. This is when you will see why the super jeep is needed, as you drive through rugged landscapes and rough terrain, up towards Langjokull glacier. Prepare for a smooth, but bumpy, ride.
Once you reach the snow, you will join a 1 hour guided snowmobile tour in the amazing glacier landscape. All the gear for the snowmobile tour is included, for a warm and safe journey. This is not your normal Golden circle tour, so be ready for a tour of a lifetime!

I did the Golden Circle tour that ended in the snowmobiling trip on a glacier. The driver of the huge truck with the monster tires was Kiddi. He was a great guide and very informative. I was traveling alone so I sat up front and asked Kiddi LOTS of questions about Iceland. He was very knowledgeable of Iceland. The Golden Circle is spectacular, anybody traveling to Iceland needs to see these 3 points of interest. Having Kiddi drive you around in the truck with the monster tires is a bonus. He knew where to stop for great coffee and even took us on an extra stop to see the Kerid Crater. It was beautiful. Snowmobiling on the glacier was the best part of my entire trip. Who else can say "I've snowmobiled on a glacier." I had a great time and would do it again if I went back to Iceland.

I've used Mountaineers of Iceland on two separate trips to Iceland and found them to be outstanding in all aspects. They are very flexible and accommodating and really go out of their way to ensure has a great time!

Kiddi was a wonderful tour guide! He was happy to answer all our questions and gave us the best experience possible for just one day exploring Iceland. We saw everything from the continental divide with its history of parliament, geysirs, Gulfoss waterfall, and went snowmobiling on the Langjökull glacier. The best tour in Iceland!

We took the Pearl tour (Golden Circle route) in the monster truck with huge wheels! The truck was amazing and our guide/driver Kiddi was really good fun taking us off-road and giving us an idea of the trucks off road capabilities! The cost of the tour is quite pricey but as this is Iceland everything's expensive! The group was small (just 5 people) so it was a fun and intimate day, much preferable to wandering around in a large group. We got to Gulfoss waterfall early (we were the first vehicle in the car park) and had the falls to ourselves for a short time!
