   Another beautiful landmark found in Dubai is The Jumeirah Mosque. It is the only mosque in Dubai that allows non-Muslim guests visit six days a week. Women must wear respectful clothing and headscarf. The building is built in the medieval Fatimid tradition from white stone and the twin towers either side of the dome makes the mosque standout. At night it is a spectacular sight to see when all lit up.

   Historically The Grand Mosque is Dubai’s leading place of Islamic Worship and has had an interesting past. First built in 1900, demolished in 1960 before finally being completed again 1990. The mosque is impressively large and somewhat plain in contrast to other mosques but still has its endearing features like intricately carved windows and doors, rising above there are eighteen tiny domes and Dubai’s tallest minaret.

   Located in the Al Fahidi Fort, take a guided tour of The Dubai Museum. It is the oldest existing building in the city having being built in 1787. There are galleries that recreate historic Arab houses, mosques and Souks. There are exhibits on date farms, desert and marine life, pearl diving with sets of pearl merchants weights, scale and sieves.    Towards the end of Dubai Creek, you will find, on guided tour, Sheikh Saeed Al Maktoum House. Probably the oldest building in the city and part of Dubai's history. This building was the official residence of the Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Saeed Al Maktoum, (1912-1958) and grandfather of the present ruler. It is here that the vision of Dubai was first thought. The house which is now a museum with exhibits that record the history of Dubai.
