The morning starts at Kizimkazi, formerly the capital of Zanzibar where the oldest mosque in East Africa still stands. This unique house of worship bears testimony to the early arrival of the Persians in Zanzibar’s south. It was built around the 12th century and to this day, with some renovation, the mosque is still intact. The renovation of the mosque was made possible with funding from the Embassy of the United States of America in Tanzania.

You will have an opportunity to take photos at the mosque before boarding a motorized boat to set off for the dolphin search. On a great day, when luck is on our side, one can even swim with these beautiful mammals.

This Dolphin Tour is a half-day tour that takes place on southern part of Menay Bay conservation area, the bay is a home for bottle-nosed and Humpback dolphins. By using a motorboat, we depart from Kizimkazi fishing village south of Zanzibar Island for a boat drive to dolphin site. When we spot them you will be able to swim with them at a very close distance, Menay bay is also holding a very beautiful coral reef for snorkelling and this tour includes time for some great snorkelling; the waters in this area are full of little fish and great coral reefs.

3 Swimming with dolphins

Early departure from your hotel to the Southwestern part of Zanzibar.About one hour fifteen minutes from the historical Tone Town.

The tour starts by getting into a motorized boat that will drive you to the Dolphins zone. You will have the opportunity to swim with dolphins and snorkelling on your way back to the beach.

During the snorkelling, you will see, enjoy and admit the richness of Zanzibar corals and colourful fishes.

Finally, you will be transferred back to your hotel or other tour depending on your program.
