Overview

This tour takes you to the most beautiful National Parks of Kenya and Tanzania. Start with Amboseli National park on the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro famous for its spectacular landscapes and huge herds of African Elephants.

Cross the border, enter into Tanzania. Visit Ngorongoro crater a Unesco World Heritage site and the largest intact caldera in the world which shelters one of the most beautiful wildlife havens anywhere.

Visit The Great Serengeti, home to the big five and Annual wildebeest migration. Visit the world famous Masai Mara National Park, where the great migration takes place between July to October.

Track the wild cats and other plain animals in action in the endless Savannah grasslands in the Mara. Lastly, witness millions of Flamingoes in Lake Nakuru along with Rhinos and other game animals before you arrive in Nairobi.

What To Expect

Upon your arrival at Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta International Airport our representative will meet and welcome you and you will receive briefing about your safari to get a clear picture of what to expect.

After the briefing, depart to Amboseli which is famous for its huge elephant herds at the foothill of the majestic Kilimanjaro. After lunch, depart for a rewarding afternoon game drive till evening.

Amboseli to Nairobi - 256 km / 3-4 HRS Nairobi to Samburu - 385 km / 4-5 Hrs 06:30 Hrs morning coffee / full breakfast and we depart for Samburu. Driving time: approx 71/2

From Nairobi, we travel north skirting the jagged peak of Mount Kenya en-route to the dry ochre plains of Samburu land.

Green hills and fertile countryside gradually give away to more arid surroundings as we descend into the northern frontier regions. We reach Samburu in time for lunch and quick swim in the pool at the Sarova Shaba Sopa lodge.

A little later in the afternoon we set out on our first game drive. The picturesque Ewaso-Nyiro river flows along the southern border of the park and attract Elephant, Lion and variety of Antelope.

Whilst the trees along the river banks conceal a sizable Leopard population.

We return to the lodge for Dinner and overnight at Samburu Sopa lodge.

Early in the morning game drive followed by breakfast and we depart for Naivasha. Driving time approx 4 hours returning along the shoulder of Mount Kenya where there are often good views of the twin snow-capped peaks.

We drive across the great rift valley toward Nakuru and we will arrive in time for late lunch at our cosy tented camp.

After lunch, we will do game drive until dusk.

Lake Naivasha is a beautiful shallow freshwater lake. The water of the lake draw's great array of birds life to its shoreline, Buffalo wallow in the swamps whilst the large hippo population laze their days in the shallows.

Giraffe wander among the acacia, whilst the colobus monkey swing from the green canopies above. From here you can visit Elsamere crescent island game sanctuary / one hour ride in the Lake Naivasha or hells gate national park.

We proceed descending the great rift valley floor, we reach arguably Kenya's most celebrated natural attractions - the Masai Mara game reserve. A 1500 sq km slab of open Savannah doted with acacia tree.

The wildly beautiful Masai Mara plains have been described by some authorities as "being in New York of the natural world ".

Later in the evening, you will head to the lodge for dinner and overnight at OI'Tome Mara Chui luxury camp.

Early in the morning game drive in the Mara. After breakfast depart for Nairobi and we will make a brief stop at the administrative town of Narok for your chance to sip a cup of coffee or browse for the souvenirs Proceeding to Serengeti.

The Northern National Parks of Tanzania are true African experience and one of Tanzania 's main attractions. Here you will witness the great Serengeti migration when millions of wildebeest, Gazelles and Zebra roam the plains in search of food.

The entire Tanzania ecosystem is on display here: birds, reptiles, mammals and the might savanna acacia trees. The park stretch across a varied landscape, from wooded hills in the north to the southern grassy plains.

After breakfast, we will continue with the game drive in Serengeti, and in the late afternoon, we will start the drive to Ngorongoro conservation area, avast UNESCO world heritage site situated in a 260 km wide volcano crater.

Archaeology buffs and anyone interested in history has the option to stop at Olduvai Gorge, where some of the earliest human remains have been found.

The site was occupied by our genetic ancestors some two million years go and continue to offer clues about the origin of Homo sapiens. We can also pass by the Maasai Boma for a test of real African culture and traditional living.

In the late afternoon, we venture right up to the rim for dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge.

After breakfast, you will head to the crater and there is an optional tour to detour through a traditional Maasai village where you can get acquainted with the locals, watch some traditional dancing and see what life is relying like on the African plains.

From there we descend to the crater floor in search for more big game. We will have our packed lunch on the crater floor at one of the several picnic sites near the hippos pool.

In the late afternoon, we venture back-up out of the crater and head onward to Karatu for Overnight at Mto-Wa-Mbu at Bougainvillea Lodge.

Early in the morning after breakfast, we head to Lake Manyara National Park.

The park covers 330 sq km, the varied ecosystem consists of ground water forest, acacia woodland and open grassland along the lake shores that sustains a wealth of wildlife including the big five - Lions, Elephant, Leopard, Rhinos and Buffalo. Manyara park is famous for elusive tree-climbing lions that inhabit the woodland between the lake and the rift valley.

It is also an ornithologist paradise and is host to over 400 species of birds. Dinner and overnight at Bougainvillea Lodge.

We save the best for last, after breakfast, we embark on our final game drive through the Tarangire National park.

African elephant the world's biggest mammals are very common in this area. The park is also dotted with the iconic baobab trees, Shrubs - like trees that can grow up to 30 m tall.

After the full day of exploring Tarangire, we will start the drive to Arusha for dinner and overnight at Outpost Lodge.

To day is your last day at the mainland Tanzania, so be sure to grab any last minute souvenirs you may want before being transfered to Kilimanjaro International Airport to catch flight back home.
