Xian Highlights Private Day Tour

I was high on emotion for the full time on this tour, it was everything I thought it would be and more. It was worth the extra money to go privately. I would recommend this tour for everyone.

Very nice but overrated. Only one area was interesting. A lot of walking, so be careful if you visit during the hot months. We came here in the morning to beat the crowds and pollution. The drive to the warriors was long but seen some fantastic views along the way which made it worthwhile! Another 40 mins to an hour drive to the wall, but boy was it worth it. The history is amazing, such a special treat to have visited, You can hire bikes to ride around this wall. A must do in my eyes. We had dim sum soup at a restaurant after, it wasn't to my taste at all but the atmosphere and surroundings were amazing! No other alternatives were offered either and after a lot of walking, I was very hungry at this point. I ended up buying snacks on the way to the pagoda. We went in an hour before closing and there were only a few tourists inside. We did not climb the tower in the end, far too tired, but spent time in the beautiful gardens instead. It's a lovely, peaceful place to while away some time. I've found though that every place we visited was just an excuse to buy things. You can't even walk around in the gift shops without being hounded. Just clearly state that your looking and don't need any help otherwise they won't leave! It was a brilliant tour none the less. My and my friend really enjoyed it and would definitely recommend a private tour!

It was a hot day (37 deg C) and the museum was packed to the brim - but nothing could stop us from visiting this attraction. Lots of history and learning. This was a great visit and something I've always wanted to do. Our tour guide was a wonderful young man, very helpful and he had a wicked sense of humour! The food in the restaurant was not our best meal nor was it our worse. It was clean at least and the service was ok as well. I didn’t really see much South Chinese food as it was a mix of northern dishes as well. It was enjoyable and a good rest before we drove to the city wall. We hired bikes and rode a full circuit of the wall. Great way to get an overview of the architecture and the city. It took us about 1 and 3/4 hours with a short stop for an ice-cream! We were even lucky enough to catch a changing of the guard ceremony at the entrance/exit. The Pagoda was good for a short trip, the temple is clean and almost a 1000 years old, well maintained. Not too much interest for children. But the real attraction for me was the walking street next to it, excellent place for an evening walk, all the way to the dancing fountains. I would definitely recommend this tour, the hotel pick up and drop off and the tour guide having inside knowledge and information made this trip a wonderful easy experience.

The tour was going very well until we went for lunch when my husband took very ill very suddenly. Our guide was just unbelievable they had an ambulance on the spot within minutes and he came with the driver to the hospital to assist me. He stayed with me and explained everything that was going. I will never be in a position to thank privatetour.com or Bruce for all their help and assistance. If I could give 500 starts I would they went beyond the call of duty. G in the office was just so organised and helpful we only booked a day tour with them but they were the ones that helped us the most.

The warriors are a must if you visit Xian but the visit to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and Ancient City Wall were equally amazing. I took the bicycle ride on the city wall and my wife walked around. I recommend this tour as you have your own private guide who makes sure that you get the most out of your day.

The guide had good enough English and was very accommodating although she spent a lot of time on her cell phone. The driver had one hand covering on the horn for the whole trip and the other he used to jump from lane to lane. Not sure why he was in such a hurry thank god the Terracotta Warriors was worth the visit.

I had one day in Xi'an, and our guide helped to make it a great one! I was initially scheduled to visit the Terracotta Warriors, but when I found out my train arrived a good few hours earlier than I expected, I decided to book this tour. I really enjoyed our private tour with our guide, Zee! The Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum was on my bucket list for a long time and and the City Wall was spectacular. Zee was very flexible we enjoyed all of the historical stuff, this tour is excellent highly recommended.

Not my favourite tour, pick up was late, we had to queue for too long at the terracotta warriors NOT my favourite tour.

The terracotta warriors for us was disappointing. Lots of visitors and it was very hot. We never got to see as much as we would have liked. However, we enjoyed the city wall the best!

One of the best days during our honeymoon was doing the Xian private day tour, it was so nice being collected from our hotel in our own car, we saw all the sights and had a fantastic lunch. I was on holiday in China visiting my sister, and we decided to do a trip to Xian We booked online from the minute we hooked up with the guide we had a fab day. Our guide was smart, hilarious, and incredibly knowledgeable about Xian. The terracotta warriors were out of this world the only downfall was that all the pictures we took on the day were lost when my phone was stolen on our train ride back to Beijing!! But I have great memories.

This was one of the most exciting trips we did in China, of course, the Terracotta Warriors were at the top of our to-do list. When we go in it was just jaw-dropping, fantastic pits 1 & 2 were the best for me. helpful guide, perfect tour for my family.

Our tour guide was great, and she was very knowledgeable about the sites on this tour. We started at the Pagoda in Xi'an, then went onto the terra cotta warriors and finished with a walk around the city. We paid entry fees as part of the tour to all of the sites, but when we went to lunch, we felt under a bit of pressure to order additional food (which we were charged extra for). We have rushed around at pagoda and terracotta warriors which annoyed me a little we wanted to spend more time there, but we were definitely rushed.

My review is simple this was a fantastic tour, it was private no queueing no hassle NO shopping trips perfect I had a wonderful time. You can have all the time you need at the Warriors and lounge around the city... magic

This was a grand tour! our guide took us to the Terracotta Warriors Museum and then to the Big Goose Pagoda. Both were very interesting to us, and our children and I would highly recommend this tour to everyone, it was a great day.

My family enjoyed our time in Xi’an. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the history and culture of Xi’an. He was very personable and spoke English very well, so we learned a lot from him, and he made our time in Xi’an very enjoyable. It wasn't what I had expected with it being billed as one of the wonders of the world. It was interesting but not worth the 90 minutes car drive! One amusing aspect of the trip was the "Circle vision movie" which was just a poor man's I-MAX, we had a similar experience on the Great Wall. Also, watch out for the vendors outside trying to sell mini terracotta warriors they can be very persistent!

A great day tour of Xian to visit the most prominent sites. The museum was really good and with our own private guide it was even better. The pagoda has a rich cultural heritage and the city wall was amazing. After the tour you would definitely feel that your day was great value.

Xi'an was our second stop on our holiday to China, and we had an excellent time mostly due to our guide, he was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and professional and made the extra effort to make our visit through his city a memorable one. We were travelling with our two younger kids, and he was so patient with us when our kids caused delays, and he also did a little friendly quizzing with our kids which we loved. When we were tight on time, our guide was so kind as to get us some snacks and he even went out of his way to help me find Chinese stories for my kids to read when we return home. <p>Well I couldn't believe I finally got to China, the tour was perfect and our guide was very knowledgeable and a good laugh. With just 2 of us and it being a private tour, we could ask a lot of questions to learn more about the city and culture. Lunch was very good with lots to eat and they even&nbsp;had tea I really recommend taking this tour.</p>

<p>It was unbelievable how amazing the Terracotta Army are. The museum has done such a great job showcasing the history and to think they were only discovered in the 70's. Going to the city walls and Pagoda was also amazing,&nbsp;this tour is an excellent way to see Xian and a perfect way to round up our Christmas holiday.</p>

The tour guide was knowledgeable and polite, and the stops were interesting. Only downside was that it rained (just our luck coming from Ireland), though we cannot blame the tour company for that.

<p>A great tour and the Terracotta Warriors is one of the most amazing sites I have ever visited the queue was not to bad which I was worried about as my husband walks with a stick but it worked out awesome.&nbsp;</p>

Not best pleased with this tour, the driver was not having a good day he did not speak much, the queues were crazy. I loved China but could have missed this tour easily not the best experience for me and my husband.

If we ever come back to China, we will book all of our tours with this company. They were excellent!
