2 Day Private Tour of the Xian Essence
On this amazing tour your guide will pick you up at your downtown hotel at 9:00 am in a comfortable private vehicle and your day will begin with a visit to the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum where you will witness for yourself this tremendous underground army that was built to protect Emperor Qin Shi Huang after his death.
You will visit the three pits in their order of discovery in the museum with your own professional private guide. This is one of the most famous archaeological finds in the world and if you look closely, you will see that no two warriors faces look the same.
Enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant before continuing to the Great Mosque, which merges traditional Chinese construction into the Islamic culture. Outside the Mosque is the bustling Muslim Street, where you will stroll around and find lots of mouthwatering local snacks and interesting souvenirs. After the tour, the guide will transfer you back to your hotel.
On the second day, you will be picked up from your hotel and your guide will take you to visit the ancient City Wall where you will have a bird's eye view of this ancient city. You may walk along the ancient wall or ride a bicycle at your own expense and discover the profound history of the wall along with beautiful scenery.
You will now proceed to visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, the thousand-year-old pagoda that was built in the Tang Dynasty to store the Buddhist Scripture and statues brought by Monk Xuan Zang from India. It is now a landmark of Xian.
Later enjoy lunch in a nice local restaurant and have a break. Move on to spend time at the Shaanxi History Museum, which is the first modern national museum. It was built in 1983 and opened to the public in 1991. Now 370,000 exhibits in the museum vividly show the history of over a million years from prehistoric times (1,150,000 years ago - 21st Century BC) to modern China.
