I booked this one day Mekong Delta tour, with a privetour.com company. The lady that I dealt with was terrific; she went through all the day tours that would suit me. I recommed you choose a guide, and to book through priatetour.com. We visited one of the longest rivers in the world. The beautiful Pagoda, and all the famous landmarks. The lunch served in the restaurant was very nice, I would recommend this tour. My partner and I had the most fantastic day, with such great memories.

Our tour started with pick up from your hotel, the tour guide takes you to the Mekong Delta. The river is one of the longest rivers in the world. It was so amazing to have the chance to sail through this river. You visit the Pagoda, it is one of the most famous landmarks and also the most beautiful. You get to cruise along the small canals to see the peaceful villages. The fruit gardens, are so beautiful, the fruits the homemade tea were all delicious. The real Viennese folk music was playing as we were sailing. You get the chance to have a horse ride through the village if you would like to see the depts of the lifestyle. We have lunch in a local restaurant, from there we head back to Ho Chi city when the tour has ended in the late afternoon.

We were picked up at our hotel, in a people carrier. They took us to the dock, and there we met the group we would be with and the tour guide. We got on the speedboat and travelled down the river past houses built out on the river. It was a little shocking to see that poverty the was surrounding us, our tour guide seemed to know what to say to us. It was all normal, really shocking to see. We travelled into the Mekong Delta where we stopped at the local market. The market is not at all a tourist attraction. The guide walked us through the market and explained a few different things. Then we got back on the boat, and we went to the village. They showed us a few houses where we could walk around. Part of the trip we went onto a local boat because there were places we could not go on the speedboats. We saw rice paddies. We went to an orphanage where they served us a huge lunch. If you are a vegetarian, say so when booking the tour. The only downside to the experience is that I was looking forward to interacting with the kids, but we were in a separate area from them. All in all, this was the perfect solution for seeking the Mekong Delta in one day. Oh, this tour does not do the floating market.

I booked this one day Mekong Delta tour, with a tour company and it was the best decision we made. My wife and I had a great day, the horse ride was our highlight. The river is without a doubt one of the longest rivers, it feels like it goes on forever. This tour was a 7/10 for us!
