Private Cu Chi Tunnels Half-Day Tour from Ho Chi Minh City

Our guide did a superb job of directing and informing our tour and I was impressed with her knowledge. She was a delight to be around and made the story of the tunnels come alive. Ending with the trip to the handicapped factory showed great social concern and responsibility. I was also impressed with the driver his courtesy and driving skills. I appreciated being made aware of the program.

Picked up in private minibus at cruise port in Saigon and driven to tunnels with an unscheduled walk around Saigon with the guide afterwards. Best time is early morning before the crowds arrive.

I want to start with a simple sentence to describe this tour: The best tour I participated in during my three months in Vietnam. Cu Chi tunnels are a MUST for visitors in HCM area. But the very best thing was absolutely the punctuality, the tour was always perfectly scheduled and our tour guide made us feel like a family, his world-class English (Very rare in Vietnam) and his deep preparation in the history of American War created a very positive atmosphere. The activities in Cu Chi are amazing, spacing from history to shooting to fell like a "real" Vietcong proceeding in the tunnels.

We did a half day tour of Cu Chi tunnels. Our tour guide was excellent. She had all the knowledge and info. She answered all our questions and queries very well. She also gave us info on the city evening life . Will definitely recommend this tour.

Booked beforehand on the basis of excellent reviews on TA. The company called our hotel to confirm the evening before: we didn’t have to do anything. Very professional! Our guide, arrived at the hotel as arranged; our group of 4 had a vehicle to ourselves. Our driver was excellent. The Cu Chi Tunnels is an amazing attraction, well organised and informative. The guides are very attentive to visitor needs and capabilities when it comes to entering the tunnels. Overall, our tour was fascinating and professionally conducted.

A Morning Tour for a group of 11 extending over 3 generations of family 8 - 70years. the service of privatetour.com was fantastic. Our tour leader, his English was excellent as with his knowledge and the ability to engage with all ages and to share his knowledge. The bus was air-conditioned, clean, tidy & drinks were supplied. Hotel Pick up was prompt (in fact early) and we were returned on time. Would highly recommend !!!

Our guide was fantastic with the kids, answering their many questions. Pick up was on time from the hotel. The drive there was not too long and although it was busy at the tunnels, Our guide did well to ensure we got to see everything. The tunnels were an experience for the kids, they will definitely remember it.

An amazing day at the Cu Chi Tunnels. Our tour guide was fantastic & very knowledgeable about the tunnels & the history. Our son wanted to go down to the bottom level of the tunnels & our guide was very kind & took him all the way, our son was stoked to have been able to do this. We had an excellent day on Saturday to Cu Chi tunnels with our guide and driver. We were collected from the hotel at 8 AM sharp and jumped into a comfortable van. On our journey to the tunnels we stopped via a lacquer factory which aids and employs victims of agent orange, the factory walked us through the lacquer process and had some excellent pieces for sale. Then we continued on for approx another 25 minutes to the tunnels. During our journey, our driver delicately navigated the traffic whilst our guide shared his wealth of knowledge of Vietnamese history and even treated us to some karaoke. At the tunnels, our guide arranged tickets for us and then walked us through the various displays. His knowledge and re-enactments added another level to our tour and were very enjoyable. We did catch the tail end of busy traffic on our way past HCMC airport and didn’t arrive back at our accommodation until around 1.45PM. For a half day tour, this was exceptional value for money!

Our tour guide was great. He was very knowledgeable about all aspects of the tour and Vietnam in general. He spoke excellent English and was very friendly. It was the best of several tours we took during our trip. My wife and I enjoyed this tour and are happy to give it our recommendation.

This tour was one of the highlights of our trip to Ho Chi Minh City. Our spacious car arrived 5 minutes earlier at our accommodation and the driver was experienced and polite. Our tour guide was excellent. He spoke great English, was very knowledgeable about the history of Vietnam and had a great sense of humour! The Chu Chi Tunnel itself was wonderful. We had an eye-opening experience - from crawling in the narrow tunnels (you can choose if you would like to crawl 20, 40, 60 or 100 metres; if you do choose to go for the full 100 metres, be aware that your thighs and knees may ache afterwards!) to shooting live rounds of the M16. It rained towards the end while we were enjoying our tapioca and hot tea, but that just added on to the experience. We highly recommend this tour and would like to thank our guide and our driver for the wonderful experience.

I had a great day on last Sunday to Cu Chi Tunnel tour. And very happy to meet our nice guide. The guide Knew the history well and talk funny so that our members really enjoyed the day.

Our tour guide was fantastic, bent over backwards to make sure we had a good experience. Extremely knowledgeable about the history of the cu Chi tunnels and the wartime.

We were picked up by a guide and had a tour of just 8 people which was a good size. Our guide explained much of the Vietnam history to us en route which was helpful and gave us a context. We had a brief stop at a handicapped handicraft workshop which was part of the cause and effect of the conflict. The Cu Chi tunnel complex is just great and things were well explained by the guide. We did the 100-metre crawl which did get to be a narrow tunnel but apparently not as narrow as they were original! We also fired the AK47s on site. This tour is a must do and Ginkgo Tours did a great job.

Excellent tour! On the day there's was my girlfriend and I with 3 other people, so was very intimate. Can't recommend enough, our guide spoke flawless English and knew more information than we thought humanly possible. We both came away with a very rich insight of the history and the struggle of the people fighting in and around the Cu Chi tunnels. I'm also 192 cm and I could fit in the tunnels with ease so tall people can definitely fit.

Cu Chi Tunnels is a trip well worth doing. The tunnels are very small inside hard to imagine that so much time was spent underground.
