Half Day Morning Tour of DMZ
Product code: 3737 The third tunnel was discovered in October 1978. It is designed for an invasion of the south.
North Korea insisted that it was designed for a surprise attack on the north by South Korea when it was found out. But it was proved that North Korean’s insistence is untrue because traces of blasting inside the tunnel were going to the south. The tunnel height is 2m (6.5"), width is 2m and length is 1,635m (1.6km).
This tunnel's scale is similar with The 2nd Infiltration Tunnel, but it is more threatening than 1st and 2nd Infiltration Tunnel. The reason why it is more threatening than others that the 3rd Infiltration Tunnel has been located 52km far from Seoul, it means it is available for movement of 30,000 forces just an hour.
**Itinerary 07:30 ~ 08:00 : Hotel pick-up service 08:00 ~ 12:30 : Hotel - Imjingak Park - The Bridge of Freedom - The 3rd Infiltration Tunnel - DMZ Theater/Exhibition Hall - Dora Observatory - Dorasan Station - Pass by Unification Village 13:30 ~ 14:00 : Arrive at City Hall or Itaewon (Not your accommodation) * You need to bring the passport necessarily- Visit to Dora Observatory (overlooks North Korea)
- Walk in the the 3rd Infiltration Tunnel
- Visit to imjingak park (It was built to console the refugees who left North Korea during the Korean War)
