Ghorepani Poon Hill Trekking is one of the shortest, easy and best trekking in Nepal. This amazing trekking offers you the chance to explore the natural and cultural wonders of the Annapurnas.
The trek is a total of four days from Pokhara and it will take a couple of more days from Kathmandu. It is an ideal trek for those who wish to have a short vacation yet who want to get closer to the snow-capped mountains and to witness the local cultures, traditions and the living style of the people in the Himalayas.
Another great attraction of the trek is Pokhara city, probably the most tourist loved city in Nepal. This city of lakes is always a fantastic place to chill around.

Upon your arrival at Kathmandu Airport, one of our representatives will welcome you and transfer you to the hotel where you can get refreshed.
In the evening, you will have a welcome dinner organized by our team in an authentic Nepali restaurant with a cultural program.
Today you will enjoy a full day sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley, introducing you to this city of Temples and where you will be visiting four of the UNESCO World Heritage Listed Sites.
First, you will visit Soyambhunath, The Monkey Temple where you can see the monkies playing around. You can also take a photograph of the picturesque view of Kathmandu City from the top.
After you will go to explore Pashupatinath, a temple dedicated to Hindus and it is also a popular Crematory Place. In Pashupatinath, you will also meet some Sadhu Baba.
Next, your tour goes to Boudhanath which is the largest Buddhist Stupa in South Asia.
The final place you will be visiting today is Kathmandu Durbar Square which is an ancient palace. It is also the place of the KUMARI.
After today's sightseeing, you can prepare the gear that you will need for the trekking and check to make sure that everything is included.
As your bus leaves from the Tourist Bus Station at 7 am, you will enjoy an early breakfast.
The journey to Pokhara is always wonderful as you will pass several small and big settlements via the raging Trishuli River. On the way, the bus will stop for lunch.
Alternatively, you may drive to Pokhara by private vehicle at your request when you make your booking.
Those who do not want to travel overland, or want to skip the long journey on the bumpy road can choose to fly. The Flight will take around 30 minutes to get to Pokhara.
In Pokhara, you can finally check that you have all of the gear that you will need, or you can hire or buy them if you have forgotten anything.
In the evening walk around the wonderful Phewa Lake.

Take an early breakfast and get ready for the trek.
Today you will first take a short drive to Nayapul from Pokhara. From Nayapul, you will be starting your trek.
The trail from Nayapul is an easy trail where you walk through the stone paved steps passing several small villages. Just below Ulleri, you will be treated with your first glimpse of Annapurna South.
Total driving time: 1.5 hours
Total trekking time: 4-5 hours (approx 8 km)
Elevation: Ulleri 1960m
A tough yet wonderful trekking day. Today you will be trekking through the dense rhododendron forest.
The hiking will be more special if it is in the spring as the Rhododendron blooms with around seven different colours.
When you reach Ghorepani, you will forget all the pains you had during the walk as the mountain views are just perfect and refreshing. Enjoy a hot cup of tea with awe-inspiring views of the mountains.
Total trekking time: 6-7 hours (approx 12km)
Elevation: Ghorepani 2860m
Today is the best day of the trek. Wake up early in the morning, take your torchlight and start the hike up to Poon Hill.
It takes one hour to get up to Poon Hill from Ghorepani, but this is where you can see the superb sunrise view in the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna Himalayan ranges.
After experiencing these amazing views, trek back to Ghorepani for breakfast, then after start your trek to Ghandruk via Tadapani.
On the way to Ghandruk, the wonderful views of the mountains accompany you all of the way.
Total trekking time: 7-8 hours (approx 17.5 km)
Elevation: Poon Hill 3210m Ghandruk 2600m
From Ghandruk, you will trek back to Nayapul again. From Nayapul, you will drive back to Pokhara with a private vehicle. In Pokhara, you can take good rest.
Total trekking time: 4-5 hours (approx 7km)
Drive to Pokhara 1 hour
After an early breakfast, your bus leaves at 8 am from the Tourist Bus Station for your drive back to Kathmandu. On the way, the bus will stop for lunch.
You can also drive back with a private vehicle which you must request when making your booking.
Those who do not want to travel overland, or want to skip the long journey on the bumpy road can choose to fly back to Kathmandu.
The flight will take around 30 minutes and you can do some last minute shopping in Thamel.

After completing this amazing trip you will be transferred to the airport to catch your returning flight.
