Overview

The Everest Base Camp trekking is a popular classic Himalayan trek in the Khumbu region. It is the famous to explore the adventurous trails, which finally leads to the base camp of Mount Everest at 5364m and Kalapatthar at 5550m. This trekking trip goes through the high Himalayan settlements, along the Dudh Koshi River and Sagarmatha National Park. It is an opportunity to explore the Tibetan Buddhist culture and religion along with flora and fauna of the Everest Himalayan range.

Everest Base Camp trekking is alternatively popular as Kalapatthar trekking, but the trekkers explore both places. As the trekking ascends to the higher landscape, the beautiful views of the high Himalayas appear closer. The spectacular views of Mt. Everest (8848m), Lhotse (8501m), Makalu (8475m) Baruntse, Ama Dablam and other surrounding peaks of the Khumbu region. Thukla Pass (4830m) is a scenic high pass of the trip to reach Lobuche. Flora and fauna, Sherpa culture add more attractions of this trekking. The rhododendron forest blooms at the summer and the trail becomes fascinating. The Himalayan Tahr, musk deer and Pikka (mouse hare) are some distinct animals in the UNESCO listed Sagarmatha National Park. There are numerous sites of Buddhist culture in Namche Bazaar and Tenboche. Tengboche Monastery is a famous monastery lies in high altitude in Nepal. March to May and September to November are the best seasons to explore the Khumbu region.
