Overview

Perugia. The marvellous capital of the Umbria region, also known as the Green Heart of Italy, awaits you stocked with its 3000 years of history, rich in its own artistic and cultural heritage and a university centre dating back to 1308, one of the oldest

Halfway between the cities of Rome and Florence and easily reachable by car, train or flight, Perugia is still surrounded by over 9km of ancient walls in a perfect timeless embrace, making it the ideal destination to spend a romantic stay with your loved one.
There are many attractions and places worth visiting, but Gray Line I Love Rome, once again, has selected the best for you and presents here an exclusive package with a 3-night stay in the only 5* luxury hotel in the city.
The Sina Brufani 5*L overlooks Perugia and offers its guests an unparalleled panoramic view of the surrounding valleys, guaranteeing an extremely central position with respect to the medieval core of the city and to attractions such as the Duomo, the Fontana Maggiore, the National Gallery, or Corso Vannucci, with its elegant shops.

This hotel's secret weapon is its SPA, with a swimming pool set in medieval vaulted rooms with a transparent, illuminated backdrop, where you can relax and admire the ruins of an Etruscan settlement dating back over 3000 years!
The central location allows you to visit the historical centre with ease, starting from the Fontana Maggiore, the symbol of the city located in Piazza IV Novembre, perfectly in harmony with the Duomo and the Palazzo dei Priori. In the Palace, you can admire the works of famous artists such as Perugino or Raffaello Sanzio, among others.

The Rocca Paolina is definitely one of the attractions not to be missed.
The underground passages have incorporated part of Perugia's historic centre over the years, creating a city within the city. That is why we have included a visit to the underground city, just for you!
From the entrance to the tour, located in the cloister of the Cathedral of San Lorenzo, to the excavation area in the heart of the city, you will feel like you are travelling back in time and reliving every stage of Perugia's history: from the first Etruscan settlements, through the Romans and the Popes, the centre of this city has undergone continuous and progressive transformations since ancient times.

Continuing your tour of the city on your own, you might come across the remains of the ancient 13th-century aqueduct, or the Pozzo Sorbello also called the Etruscan Well, dug in the 3rd century BC and 36 metres deep!
To round off your tour of the city centre, we recommend a visit to the Basilica of San Domenico, which dominates the entire city of Perugia from above and, with its rich frescoes, is one of the most famous and popular attractions.
Let's get straight to the point now! Do you have a sweet tooth for chocolate?

Perugina’s Museum is dedicated to one of the country's leading chocolate producers and is waiting for you! Founded by the entrepreneur Luisa Spagnoli - also known for the clothing company of the same name - and her husband Annibale, it includes an itinerary that begins at the Historical Museum with an introductory video dedicated to the process of chocolate making and then continues in the museum gallery full of material from the vast Buitoni-Perugina archive. Images, wrappers, packages and films, including timeless commercials, will leave a pleasant memory in your hearts.
The real surprise, however, was the one we held on to for the end…
It’s tasting time! You will taste one of the Baci Perugina directly from the production line!

And to round off your Perugia experience in the best possible way, we couldn't fail to include a visit to a local vineyard. Here you will be able to taste excellent quality labels, accompanied by the typical local specialties, on a journey through this land rich in Travertine to the final product. The symbol of the Olivetan monks, once inhabitants of what is now the winery, has been taken up and incorporated into the winery's labels to be passed on to future generations.
