When you arrive in Luxor visit the East Bank to the magnificent Karnak Temples, the largest place of worship that was ever built. Its ancient name Ipet-isut means “the most sacred of places.”

The temple or more correctly (the complex of temples), were built more than two thousand years ago by different generations of pharaohs. Within the complex, the great “Hypostyle Hall” is an incredible forest of giant pillars.

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, then proceed to visit the West Bank of the River Nile to see the Colossi of Memnon.

The Colossi of Memnon is two giant statues of Amenhotep III. After an earthquake ruptured the statues, they were reputed to sing always within 1 or 2 hours of sunrise.

We will continue on to the famous Valley of the Kings where you will visit 3 tombs. This is where all the famous Kings are buried, the most famous being King Tutankhamun.

Then take a visit to the majestic Queen Hatshepsut Temple. Queen Hatshepsut, which means Foremost of Noble Ladies was known to have been the first Queen to bring stability, peace and security to Egypt.

After your tour ends, enjoy a comfortable drive back to your hotel or chosen starting point in Aswan.
