Natural Wine Tour in the Empordà Region from Barcelona

We will discover the territory, the landscape, the emotion of the Empordà region.

This is a region dominated by the Tramuntana wind which brings dry weather but can also drive the sanest of minds mad after some days of strong gusts.

A wide plain stretching from the Alberes to the Gavarres mountains, full of history, with a megalithic past visible in its dolmens and menhirs.

We will enjoy a quiet landscape, surrounded by vineyards, and visit wineries that produce spectacular wines using traditional methods, such as La Gutina, Carriel dels Vilars or Còsmic wineries.

This tour includes pick up from your accommodation in Barcelona or from an agreed meeting point. We will use the most sustainable means of transport, whether that be by train, electric bicycles, electric or hybrid cars or conventional cars for bigger groups (up to 7 people).

We will visit wineries, enjoy a meal together and take you back to the meeting point at the end.

Your expert guide for this tour is Marc. He has a degree in history and geography of Catalunya (and he has spent most of his life teaching students), so you are going to be in good hands and will end your tour with more knowledge about the Catalan wine traditions and culture of the region.

Throughout the experience, Marc will teach you how to taste wine and explain the various tasting notes that can be found. Nothing can beat a day enjoyed with Marc, who will take you through scenic vineyards that specialize in producing quality wine. Marc’s passions go deeper than sipping delicious wine though, he is also committed to supporting to wineries who make natural, organic and bio-dynamic wines.
