You will firstly drive for around 1 hour to visit Zhujiajiao Water Town. Endowed with another elegant name - Pearl Stream - Zhujiajiao is the best-preserved among the four ancient towns in Shanghai, the little fan-shaped town glimmers like a bright pearl in the landscape of lakes and mountains.

Stroll around the unique old bridges, well-structured courtyards and calm rivers to feel the antiquity, and tranquility of this ancient town. A boat ride is available along the river at your own expense.

Later enjoy lunch in a local nice restaurant and continue to visit the Jade Buddha Temple, one of the most famous Buddhist shrines in the city. The two precious jade Buddhist statues are not only rare cultural relics but also porcelain artworks. Both the Sitting Buddha and the Recumbent Buddha are carved with whole white jade.

Later stroll around the old Cultural Street Tianzifang to see the old Shanghai shiumen buildings and experience local lifestyle.
