Overview

On your first day we will pick you up from your Beijing downtown hotel lobby at 8:30 am and where you will take an air-conditioned private vehicle to visit the Mutianyu Great Wall, which is less crowded and known for its beautiful surroundings. Hike up the Great Wall along the stone steps, enjoy the beautiful scenery and the tensely distributed Watchtowers.

After lunch, you will continue to explore the royal park of the Summer Palace. You will stroll along the beautiful long corridor while listening to your guide’s live narration of the royal history and enjoy the stunning landscapes. Afterwards, we will return you to your hotel.

On the second day of your tour, you will be taken to  Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. Enjoy strolling around the largest central city square, walk into the best-preserved imperial palace complex, and follow your guide as you learn about the Imperial history. Next, you will proceed to Jingshan Park which is located behind the Forbidden City and where you will get a panoramic view of the Forbidden City.

Enjoy lunch at a nice local restaurant before moving on to explore another sight not to miss when touring Beijing; the Temple of Heaven. Follow your guide to see the Altar, Echo Wall, and spectacular Imperial Vault, admire the most representative existing masterpiece of China’s ancient sacrificial buildings, and discover the belief and worship of Chinese emperors. Later enjoy a safe transfer back to your hotel to conclude the trip.

We met our guide at our hotel and he was so friendly. I rarely use tours but thought this would be an easier way to see all the things I wanted to see - but I saw this and more! We asked Hai (our guide) to show us the 'real Beijing' so he took us to some places frequented by the locals. It was fantastic to see things 'off the beaten track' and not stereotypical tourist haunts. He showed us everyday life in Beijing as well as the wonders of The Great Wall, Summer Palace and the Temple of Heaven. I really recommend this tour as they can change it to suit what you want to see. We told Hai we wanted to see the non-touristic Beijing and he really delivered!

I definitely recommend this tour. We travel a lot and this was one of the most amazing experiences that we have ever had. On both days we were picked up by our guide and driver from our hotel and taken to some of the most amazing places I have ever seen not only in terms of the Great Wall, but Chinese culture as well. The Great Wall is impressive, and it was fascinating listening to the history behind it and I have to say that it was the highlight of the holiday.

I went on this tour with a friend and it was great from the minute we started! Our guide was really friendly, knowledgeable & easy to talk to about Beijing in general. the pace of the tour was just perfect for us with a really good understanding of the venues we visited.

I would highly recommend booking tours through this company. This particular tour covers 2 days where you get picked up from your hotel by an English speaking guide (who was excellent). The tour includes so many amazing places and the Great Wall is a must see. We booked online before we left and it was easy to book. We have not one bad thing to say about this tour.
