Then you will fly back Urumqi and continue to Turpan.

What To Expect
Day 1: Arrival Urumqi
Upon arrival Urumqi airport, our representative will meet you and transfer you to hotel.
Overnight in Urumqi Wanda Vista Hotel or equivalentÂ

Day 2: Urumqi/Heavenly Lake/Kashgar
In the morning you will visit Xinjiang Museum (closed on Monday), then take a ride to Heavenly Lake, enjoying the stunning scenery there. 
In the afternoon fly to Kashgar.

Day 3: Kashagr
It is a busy day, you will see the well-known Sunday Bazaar, Animal Market, Apa Hojia Tomb, Idkar Mosque, old town of Kashgar.

Day 4: Kashagr/Urumqi/Turpan by flight and car
Take a morning flight to Urumqi, then transfer to Turpan by car.

Day 5: Turpan
Turpan Basin is a key part on the ancient Silk Road, with well-preserved ruins and grottos, you will visit Astana Ancient Tombs, Karez Irrigation System, Ancient City of Gaochang, Bezklik Grottoes, Ancient City of Jiaohe, and Sugong Minaret today.

Day 6: Turpan/Liuyuan/Dunhuang by bullet train and car
Take 4-hour express train to Liuyuan in the morning, then take a 2-hour ride to Dunhuang.

In the afternoon, you will view the Mingsha Dunes and Crescent Moon Spring in the desert.
You can wander around the night market tonight.

Day 7: Dunhuang/Jiayuguan by car
You will visit Mogao Caves this morning, the most important site on the Silk Road in the morning.
Colorful fresco, statues tell you various stories about Buddha.
Afterwards, you will take 5-hour ride to Jiayuguan.

Day 8: Jiayuguan Departure
Visit Jiayuguang Fort this morning, which will impress you with imposing old constructions.
Then you will be transferred to Jiayuguan airport to catch your flight heading for Beijing or Shanghai where you can fly back home.
Please book the flight departing from Jiayuguan after 3pm.Â
