Overview

This Turkey 8-Day Guided Tour covers Istanbul, Cappadocia, Pamukkale and Ephesus. Starts with a visit to the Egyptian Spice Bazaar, to cruising along the European and Asian shores of the Bosphorus.

After breakfast the next day we will drive toward to Ankara to visit the Mausoleum of the famed Mustafa Kemal Ataturk before continuing to the surreal landscape of Cappadocia.

Visit the Goreme Open Air Museum, Pasabag, Uchisar Castle and Kaymakli Underground City. Carpet weaving has long been a tradition in Turkey, learn the specifics about how carpets are made and how their value is estimated. Leaving Cappadocia, we will go south along the ancient Silk Road just as the traders did in their time.

Along the way, visit Sultanhani Caravansary, before stopping at Konya to tour the Mevlana Museum. See Hierapolis and its ruins, the Necropolis and the Temple of Apollo, and stroll over the magnificent white calcium terraces of Pamukkale. Then visit Aphrodisias, the famous city of Aphrodite before moving on to Selcuk.

Enjoy a guided tour of Ephesus which includes a visit of the Temple of Artemis. Absorb the atmosphere of the ancient city and theatre.

After breakfast, we will drive to the airport for your morning flight to Istanbul. Upon arrival in Istanbul, we will discover the magnificent city that stretches over Europe and Asia. While exploring the city, we will visit the Blue Mosque, St. Sophia Museum, Topkapi Palace, and the Hippodrome.

When you arrive in Istanbul airport, get transferred to your hotel and after you are settled in go on a short visit to the Egyptian Spice Bazaar, and then cruise along the European and Asian shores of the Bosphorus.
