Overview

Our Private Tour of Barrio Gotico and Sagrada Familia from the Outside represents the opportunity that we want to offer to everyone who wants to visit and enjoy the greatest treasures of one of the most beautiful city's in the world, Barcelona. During this tour, you will stop at some of the most famous and suggestive places in the city. You will get a private guide escorting you during the whole tour.

The relaxed and intimate atmosphere will make you feel absolutely comfortable while exploring and discovering the best attractions that the city offers.

The first stop of the tour will be the Sagrada Familia, where your guide will be waiting for you to start this adventure. You will be introduced to the fascinating history of the world’s most famous incomplete monument. By saying “incomplete”, we really mean it! Although dating back in 1882, today the Sagrada Familia is still unfinished. Antoni Gaudì’s devoted his whole life to the project from 1883 till he died in 1926, halfway of the construction. This is only one of the many interesting facts about this beautiful work of art. Can you imagine how many things you might know about it? You can ask everything you want to know about the Sagrada Familia and Gaudi. Your guide will be happy to help you discover all that you need to know about the most famous architectonic work in the whole Catalonia.

“The Sagrada Familia temple will be the future of modern Catalonia” (Antoni Gaudì)

Next, you will take the metro for one stop to another historical place that attracts millions of people from all over the world. We are dealing with Plaza Catalunya, a huge square designed way back in 1859 by Ildefons Cerdà, situated in the centre of the city and considered the place where old and modern city meet.

Right here you will start your tour around the Gothic Quarter, passing by the gorgeous Passeig the Gracia. It is one of Barcelona’s top business and shopping areas, containing some of the greatest pieces of architecture in town. Two of them are Gaudì’s Casa Batllò and Casa Milà. These former private houses, designed in early 1900, are now one of the most popular touristic attractions in the world because of their unique facades, patterns and shapes. It is going to be absolutely twisting!

The last stop will be the Gothic Quarter, one of the most suggestive and ancient parts of Barcelona. During the Middle Ages, public life took place right here and therefore some really imposing Gothic buildings are all over it. The most peculiar thing about this district is that architectonic styles from different ages blend together giving life to an incredible environment.

There are many historical & cultural spots to visit and enjoy when in Barcelona. I took a few tours and every one was great but this private tour was the best. The Sagrada Familia was overwhelming to see and the Gotic part of the city was the most interesting because that's in the heart of the town. Our guide had great knowledge, she was funny and interesting. A very good tour.

We had not much time in Barcelona (less than two days) so we booked this tour well in advance. Our guide was wonderful, and knows just when to tell you what you need to know. The La Sagrada Familia and the other places we visited were amazing. A lovely day!

A private tour costs more than a group tour, but there is no way we could have seen as much as we did, and got as much enjoyment out of it, if we hadn't done this private tour. I would definitely recommend it. Well done to our guide for putting up with our many questions and for making the tour so interesting.

We had a great time and our guide provided such a wonderful day filled with everything we could've ever hoped for to get from this short tour of Barcelona. She was incredibly knowledgeable and has a deep appreciation for the country's history. She made each destination really come to life. We wanted some history, architecture, art and local flavor and this tour provided all of this and more. We give this tour a five star rating because we cannot give it a six.

It was our first time to Spain and we were very hesitant as we were unfamiliar with the country and the tour companies. Upon recommendation of a friend we booked this tour to get to know Barcelona and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The tour guide was passionate, knowledgeable and helpful and we really wished that we have arranged for a longer duration for more guided tours with the tour company. In short, it was a great experience and we will surely go back to them the next time.

I thought I knew pretty much everything about Gaudi and the historic places in Barcelona as I had read a lot before travelling. However, our great guide’s insights went much further. She was a gem and her explanations about the outside of the Sagrada Cathedral were portrayed in such a way that it was like listening to a really good documentary. I highly recommended this tour.

My sister and I had the best time exploring these beautiful places with our guide. Even though it was in winter, the sun was shining. We wanted to get to know the basics about the architecture and sights of the city on our second day, so we pre-booked this tour before we visited. Our guide was amazing and really knew her history. My sister and I recommend this tour and the guide.

My husband and I love to travel but we generally avoid large group tours because they aren't personal. This was the best service for people like us and our guide was amazing! He was thorough, friendly, and provided great information for getting around the city. We wished we had booked more tours through this company but we were only stopping in Barcelona for one day. We highly recommend this tour if you want to learn about the city in a short time.

Our children surprised us with a trip to Barcelona and were we glad that they pre-booked this private tour. The Sagrada Familia was stunning and the whole experience was well organized. We felt like royalty has we passed many large tour groups and we were a group of two. This tour is a must-try for anyone visiting the beautiful city of Barcelona.
