Gyeongbok Palace
1 Due to its stunning architecture and long, storied history, Gyeongbok Palace is among the most iconic landmarks in all of Korea and a 'must see' place with a guided tour. At the start of the Joseon Dynasty in 1395, this Palace was completed when the reigning monarch was King Taejo. Its name translated means ‘palace greatly blessed by heaven’ and has Mount Bugaksan and Mount Namsan surrounding it.
N Seoul Tower
2 A proud and impressive landmark of Seoul is the N Seoul Tower which is located in the center of the city in Namsan Park. This is a place you can visit on a sightseeing tour or just for somewhere to go at night. Sit in the restaurant or cafes and look out onto the vibrant city below which looks amazing especially at night. From the observation deck, you can see the landscape stretching for miles, on a clear day!
Changdeokgung Palace
3 Another palace which will be included on a custom tour of palaces is the Changdeokgung Palace. It is also known as the Eastern Palace due to it being situated to the east of Gyeongbok Palace. It was the favored residence for many of the kings of the Joseon Dynasty and for 270 years it was where the Joseon Government called home. It is the longest serving royal residential palace and compared to others it is exceptionally well preserved.
Jongmyo Shrine
4 Take a guided tour to the Jongmyo Shrine which is a royal shrine dedicated to the deceased Joseon Dynasty kings and queens and their ancestral rites. The shrine’s building is elegant, simple and an example of traditional Korean architecture. Since the 16th century, it has kept its original form. The atmosphere when you enter here is sacred and solemn.  It is also, not surprisingly, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site.
Deoksugung Palace
5 Deoksugung Palace is yet another amazing Palace to see on a guided tour when in Seoul. This one is located in the busiest part of downtown and it is most famous for the stonewall road which is described as elegant by many. Deoksugung Palace is situated alongside modern western buildings and therefore its splendour and culture shine through among them. A guided tour is delightful starting from the wide bridge you cross.
The War Memorial of Korea
6 A fascinating and worthwhile guided tour is the one of The War Memorial of Korea. Established in 1994, to commemorate the patriotic martyr's noble sacrifices, this museum has both indoor and outdoor displays and exhibits.  There are many different halls and areas to explore which include some 33,000 artifacts although only about 10,000 are on open display. The outdoor exhibits include large sized weapons
63 Building Seoul
7 Overlooking the Hangang River along the banks of Yeouido Island, you will find the 63 Building or as some people call 63 City and Golden Tower. Surprisingly the name represents the number of floors in the building. When it was built in 1985, it was the tallest building in World not including North America. Nowadays it is not even in the top 100, but still, it is a great place to visit on a sightseeing tour.
The National Folk Museum of Korea
8 Combine a guided tour of Gyeongbok Palace with a very interesting guided tour the National Folk Museum of Korea as the museum is located in the Palace. This museum is a place where you learn about the cultural beliefs, agricultural and domestic lifestyles of the Korean people through the centuries. Also on display are many fascinating and intriguing artefacts which were used on a daily basis by the locals.
Bukhansan National Park
9 Take your pick of adventure tours when you visit the Bukhansan National Park. This national park is located in northern Seoul and it has beauty along with a rich history. Some of the historical areas are the Silla’s King Jionheung Sunsubi Monument on Bibong Peak or the Bukhansanseong Fortress. Your adventure tour can include hiking tours or climbing tours in the summer of fantastic skiing in the winter.
Bongeunsa Temple
10 Enjoy a guided tour of the Bongeunsa Temple which was previously known as Gyeoneonasa Temple. During the 10th year of Silla King Weongseong’s rule, this building was contracted around 794. It was refurbished by  Queen Jeonghyeon in 1498. There are 3,479 Buddhist Scriptures that include works from Kim Jeong-hee. Every September 9th there is a Buddhist Ceremony held where monks carry the scriptures above their heads.
