Classic South Africa in Style - From Cape To Kruger!

Day 1: CAPE TOWN "Arrival"

On arrival into Cape Town International Airport, you will be met off the aircraft door and assisted through immigration and customs by our special support staff.

After formalities and luggage collection one of our representatives will lead you to a private transfer to the Mount Nelson hotel.

The hotel is ideally situated for guests to explore the city, the V&A Waterfront and the best beaches (complimentary luxury transfers to V&A Waterfront and beaches are available on a first come, first serve basis between 8 am - 8 pm). When it first opened in 1899, Belmond Mount Nelson Hotel was designed to emulate the best hotels in Europe - right down to its heated main swimming pool, which was a first in Africa. A century on and it still does. Day 2: CAPE TOWN "Cape Peninsula Privately Guided"

Breakfast at the Mount Nelson and a full day dedicated to the Cape Peninsula and surrounding areas with your private vehicle and professional day.

The guide and vehicle are flexible to customize the days to your specific requirement.

Depart for the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, along one of South Africa’s most scenic and popular routes. Proceed through Sea Point and visit Hout Bay with the possibility of the Seal Island excursion. Then it’s on to Cape Point where (by tradition) two marine ecosystems and oceans meet. Experience the grandeur of one of the highest sea cliffs in the world, the drama of the two mighty oceans meeting to become one, the scenic splendor, intriguing history and abundant visitor attractions of the Cape of Good Hope at the south-western most tip of Africa. There is a choice to either walk up to the point or ride on the funicular Lunch en route included (drinks excluded).

After lunch visit Boulders Beach, which is home to a growing colony of the vulnerable African (or ‘Jackass’) penguin, which may easily be viewed at close quarters from the boardwalk.

Simonstown is the location of the headquarters of the South African Navy and the town’s naval associations go back to the time of the British occupation of the Cape when it was the base for their South African squadron. Twenty-one buildings along the main street are over 150 years old and have been restored to their original Victorian splendor.

Continue through Muizenberg, and time permitting visit the Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens, Sprawled over 560 ha on the eastern slopes of Table Mountain, these world-renowned gardens are dedicated to the preservation of the indigenous plants of Southern Africa. Some 6000 different species are grown here, including ancient cycads and many species of protea, erica, pelargoniums and ferns. Throughout the year, the gardens are a colorful blaze of flowers, shrubs, and trees. Return to the hotel in the late afternoon

Day 3: CAPE TOWN "Cape Town & Woodstock Art and Design Privately Guided"

Breakfast at the Mount Nelson and depart for a privately guided full day tour of Cape Town City and the Woodstock art & design quarters.

The guide and vehicle are flexible to customize the days to your specific requirement. Your journey starts from the top of Signal Hill or Table Mountain (weather permitting) to enjoy the best views of the City as well as to understand its lay out.

Continue driving towards the City Centre to learn about the history and the making of the City while visiting the Castle of Good Hope, the City Hall and discovering the facts that led to the force removals in the District Six and the years of segregation.

To get a feel of Cape Town and its people take a stroll around the Historical Centre walking into the Company Garden, being the true heart of the City and home of the Parliament Building, the Saint George Cathedral and many other historical buildings. Bo-Kaap, home of the vibrant Cape Malay community and then onto the heart of Woodstock with its hub of creative minds, working studious and boutiques. Visit various artisans as they take you through their works, ranging from sculptures and leather accessories to the ceramic artwork.

We suggest you spend this day at leisure exploring the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, which is a five-minute drive from the hotel The Waterfront is Southern Africa’s trendiest shopping precinct and is a great place to look for gifts.

You can take a ferry from the Waterfront across Table Bay to Robben Island. An ex-prisoner takes you on an extensive tour of the prison, which includes a visit to Nelson Mandela’s cell, the limestone quarry, and the old leper colony. The Waterfront’s Two Oceans Aquarium h is highly recommended for the insight it gives into life in the two oceans off the southern tip of Africa – the cold Atlantic Ocean and the warm Indian Ocean. Alternatively, you may like to relax on one of the trendy beaches of Camps Bay or Clifton.

Museum lovers can wander through the South African Museum and the National Art Gallery.

Day 5-6: CAPE TOWN "Cape Winelands, Franschhoek"

Depart Cape Town and transfer by private vehicle to the Cape Winelands where your first stop is the historic Dutch town of Stellenbosch.

Continue onto a few of the many local vineyards for a tasting before arriving at Franschhoek.

Arrive at Le Quartier Francais, your home for the next two nights. A little French, a little foreign, a little style they like to call Cape Provencal. Of course, some call it an Auberge, others an exclusive country inn. In any language, Le Quartier Francais is a splash of style in the heart of the historic village of Franschhoek, a quaint corner of the Cape Winelands that is forever a little French.

Le Quartier Francais is home to one of the best restaurants in the foodie's paradise that is Franschhoek...and as it's in the center of the village, it's only a short walk to a number of other delightful restaurants and delis!

After breakfast depart with a private transfer to Cape Town International Airport. Upon arrival at Hoedspruit, private transfer to Makanyi Private Game Lodge (approximately 1-1.5 hours) where you will stay for four nights with all meals, house drinks and scheduled game viewing activities included.

Makanyi offers day time and night time 4x4 game drives, as well as a guided bush, walks. A stunning big five safari and contemporary property in Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, part of the Greater Kruger National Park.

Each of Makanyi’s seven luxury suites overlooks a magnificent dam and features an extra-large bed, spacious living area, indulgent bathroom and shower, private deck with loungers and an outdoor shower. Having teamed up with local wildlife artist Warren Cary, the lodge holds four-day workshops which include special art tuition classes around the game drives.
