Itinerary

Friday - After arriving in St Petersburg in the morning, we will meet you at the airport and take you to your accommodation for the next two nights. Once you have had a chance to settle in and perhaps grab some lunch, your experience in this beautiful city will begin. You will be shown and taught about Nevsky Prospect, which is one of St Petersburg’s most vibrant areas, to see a number of landmarks including the Winter Palace and the Kazan Cathedral. Then, we take you to a place which, if Peter the Great would have succeeded, would have been the city centre; Vasilevsky Island. This section includes visits to Peter and Paul Fortress and Peter and Paul Cathedral which contains the burials of all Russian Tsars after Peter the Great.

In the evening, you are free to explore the city to find a restaurant and more local sights; of course, we can also provide recommendations.

Saturday - After your first night in the hotel (and breakfast), we begin day two at Pushkin. Tsarskoye Selo’s Palace and Park dates back many years and should provide an enjoyable visit; Catherine’s Palace is also held in the area and consists of beautiful porcelain collections, decorative objects, sculptures, old paintings, and more. The famous ‘Amber’ room which was completely looted by the Nazi’s has since been rebuilt with many treasures being recovered. Again, you will have free time in the evening whether you want to find another restaurant, visit a theater, or even watch a Russian folk show.

Sunday - On the final day, you will visit the Hermitage Museum and see the Winter Palace and four other historical buildings before being taken back to the airport where the trip comes to an end.
