Do you have an upcoming trip to Amsterdam? Are you struggling to decide what sights to visit and how to fit them all into one trip? If you are nodding along to these two questions, may we suggest our Amsterdam Jewish District Walking Tour?

In this tour, you will visit many different sights without having to worry about them individually by going it alone. The Amsterdam Jewish District Walking Tour lasts for around two and a half hours, and you will be joined by a professional tour guide who thrives at informing people of the history, culture, and architecture that the Dutch capital city has to offer.

Amsterdam has had a fairly large Jewish community ever since the 1500s and at first, they called it the ‘New Jerusalem.' Of course, World War II had a profound impact on the community in Amsterdam and on this tour, you can learn all about how these effects are still being felt. We aim to teach you everything there is to know so you will learn how life was back in the 1940s and how that has developed ever since. Furthermore, you will also meet one Jewish citizen in particular that changed many lives and shaped the community as it is today.

In Amsterdam Jewish District Walking Tour, you will see Botanic Gardens, Plantation District, Stumbling Stones, Diamond Worker’s Union, Hollandsche Schouwburg, Auschwitz Monument, Rembrandt House, Waterlooplein Market, Portuguese Synagogue, Jewish Historical Museum, and more. Not only will you be visiting many sights, but you will also learn about famous residents past and present.

As mentioned previously, this tour lasts for around two and a half hours, and we normally meet at Rembrandt House. Furthermore, you will be paired with an English-speaking guide who is passionate about Amsterdam and imparting knowledge, fun facts, and interesting stories.

Please get in contact today if you have any questions about any of the sights or the Amsterdam Jewish District Walking Tour itself, if you need any more information, or if you want to go ahead and book your spot on this superb tour.

This truly is a great experience for all visiting Amsterdam so what are you waiting for?

I think you should at least spare four hours to the Jewish district walking tour in Amsterdam, because there are so many interesting places to visit. Of course I don't think you can do it on your own without a tour guide since there are some spots even local people barely know. We had some problem with finding the starting point that indicated on the document. We spent almost half an hour to find it. Spare from that, everything was perfect. By the way, the soup in the cafeteria was excellent! Highly recommended!
