Overview

At 9 AM Will pick you up from your Hotel or Riad in Marrakech City, start your experience to Imlil Atlas Mountains.

On our way, you will pass through the town of Tahnaout at Berber Village where we can stop at an Argan Oil Co-operative and just to learn how the woman of the co-operative turn the Argan nut into many of the different Argan Oil-based products Morocco is famous for.

We will then continue on through Asni where, on Saturdays, a traditional Berber Souk and market can be visited.

Our journey will take us past waterfalls and the hamlets of Ait Mizan, we will stop off in Imlil and have the opportunity to take in the views of ancient irrigated terrace fields of barley, corn, and vegetables, surrounded by cherry and walnut trees. I will point out things of interest and I will talk to you about the Berber culture and heritage along the way.

We will go down through the village of Ait Souka and afterwards enjoy a traditional Moroccan meal in a Berber family house. Here you will have the opportunity to ride a camel on our way back via Moulay Gorges! And go back to your accommodation in Marrakech around 17:00 pm.

A well-organised tour from start to finish with friendly, knowledgeable guides! Both our driver and our guide in the mountains were fabulous - couldn't have asked for better hosts. The day started with a pickup from our Riad followed by a camel-ride and visit to an argan oil cooperative. We then drove into the mountains the guide led us up to the mountains, through waterfalls and fantastic scenery, all the while giving us an insight into Berber life and culture. We stopped off halfway for a mint tea break before reaching our peak. We then began our descent to a Berber guesthouse where we had a yummy meal on the rooftop terrace accompanied with a stunning view of the mountains. All in all, it was a great experience and a must-do, if only to get away from the hustle and bustle of Marrakech.

I rate the attraction very highly. Everything looked like the description, and the whole tour lasted even longer than we expected. Our guide was just perfect and very caring. Great experience!

Fantastic and insightful. Camel ride a bit obvious but fun. Went to a traditional market which was completely eye-opening and real education. Great hosting by our guide with great insight into the community and culture which I had no idea of. Felt both humbled and enlightened at the end. Definitely, recommend.

I can't say enough kind things about the guide. The whole day itself is amazing - the views from the mountains, the smell of fruits and spices in the Berber market, the great conversations had over mint tea and the best tangines we had in the village-The camel ride but our guide went above and beyond to make us comfortable.

Incredibly friendly and enthusiastic workers. All previous reviews about how great it is are true. Lots of different elements, lovely food and is exactly as described; we had a camel ride, saw the waterfall, trekked, had lovely food and learnt a lot about the Berber culture.
