Overview

Visit marvellous Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon and Navona Square: cross the Tiber and reach the impressive St. Peter’s Square where you can be blessed by the Pope with people from all over the world. If you enjoy walking tours and are limited on time or travel budget, this tour is among our best values.

Choose Special departure day for an emotional traditional blessing by the Pope. The Urbi et Orbi address and blessing are given each Easter and Christmas from the central loggia of Saint Peter's Basilica in Rome at noon: this event and is broadcasted worldwide and it's one of the most important happenings for the Catholic community. The address concludes with greetings in many languages in relation to the feast celebrated.

The Catholic Church grants a plenary indulgence, on the usual conditions, to those who "devoutly receive" the blessing that the Pope imparts Urbi et Orbi.

Amazing tour and experience. I would suggest the tour without lunch instead. It took a long time from the papal mass to the guided tour at 2 pm but that was to be expected. I would suggest starting the guided tour at noon because it allows you time to eat something at the Vatican and you don't have to wait so much

The tour guide was exceptional, she even checked on me by calling the hotel ( she had to go through some process to reach me at the hotel because the tour guide only gets limited info on their customers upfront). My 18 yo son also got lost in the midst of the tour and the tour guide checked with me if he was back to the hotel. How great was that!!! I ended up locating my son via text/call and told him to stay where he was and the tour guide will look for him. I got worried for sure because it was already dark at 5 pm. My son was very smart in navigating back to the hotel, he assured me that he knows his way back to the hotel and that he was just taking pictures after the tour at 6 pm. Seeing the pope was an amazing experience that I will never forget.

The experience and tour were great however, there was a lot of waiting around the whole day. The waiting time from the papal address to the museum tour was quite long. I would recommend the experiences on this tour it was well worth the wait. The guide was very good and very informative.

This tour is highly recommended. You are a lot to see many sites in Rome on the walking tour. Trevi Fountain, Parthenon, Plaza Navona. As well as many other sites of significance are pointed out. The highlight is in Saint Peter’s Square for the Papal Blessing. Great tour.
