Pompeii is a town located in the plain on the eastern slopes of Vesuvius, to the right of the lower reaches of the river Sarno.

Pompeii is one of the largest archaeological areas in the world, Unesco World Heritage Site, it is a very popular tourist destination, even thanks to the presence of the Shrine of Our Lady of the Rosary.

In the archaeological site, the ancient Roman city, buried by the sudden eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD, has been brought to the light. The rain of ash and lava and the resulting thick layer of dust have crystallised, preserving Pompeii for centuries.

Brought to the surface, Pompeii is the most visited archaeological site in the world.

Amalfi is an internationally renowned tourist destination and famous for its incomparable beauty and mild climate, the town on the southern coast of the Sorrento Peninsula, known as the Amalfi Coast, is closed by the foothills of the mountains Lattari. White houses and narrow streets, many of them with steps, characterise the village, a typical example of Mediterranean architecture. It is an archepiscopal seat.

The Cathedral, dedicated to St. Andrew, is the most impressive building of Amalfi: a rare beauty, built in sec. IX, refurbished in 1203 in the Arab-Norman forms, and restored several times, has solemn steps to the side of which rises the bell tower (XII-XIII), which preserves intact the polychromy, typical of the Romanesque architecture of the area.

The Valley, for its wildlife and environmental characteristics, is now a nature-oriented reserve, declared a World Heritage Site, and will enchant on pleasant walks.

Center of the Amalfi Coast, Positano is located on the slopes of the mountains Comune and Sant'Angelo a Tre Pizzi. Thanks to the mild climate and the beauty of the landscape, Positano has been a resort since the Roman Empire, as attested by the discovery of a villa and more recent discoveries, dating back to 2004. From the village, the many typical "scalinate”, steps, come down to the beaches, the Spiaggia Grande, and the Fornillo, both within walking distance; others are La Porta, Arienzo and San Pietro Laurito, all reachable mainly by the sea. The town, with houses with typical spherical shell, is a unique urban and architectural complex, with long steps, narrow alleys and watchtowers along the coastal ridge.

If I had a chance to travel, I would definitely love to go to Pompeii. Why I want to visit Pompeii the most out of all the other places in the world? Well, it is simply because I have always dream to go to Italy ever since I was five. I was inspired by some of the movies I used to watch when I was little. I would absolutely love to see the amazing Pompeii and the Rome with my very own eyes and not just in photographs or accessories.
