Overview

Admire with your private guide, numerous works of art by Botticelli, Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, Raffaello, Giotto, Cimabue, Masaccio and many others.

Among the precious exhibition halls of the Gallery, the most renowned one contains the refined works by Botticelli, among which the absolute masterpieces: ‘’Primavera’’ and ‘’Birth of Venus’’.

The latter painting, the icon of the museum, represents the allegory of the birth of the goddess emerging from the sea foam and symbolizes the idea of beauty as an expression of purity and spiritual quality, typical of the Renaissance Neo-Platonism aesthetics.

At the end of the tour, you can remain in the museum to explore further at your leisure.

Without a doubt one of the best museums in the world when you are interested in Renaissance Art. Also an extensive collection of different statues. I would say this tour is best with a tour guide. We had a great day with a lot of information entailed.

Forget your cameras, and phones! I wish taking photography would be forbidden in all museums. It is so annoying when you try to enjoy the most famous arts, and you have someone's camera in your face in every five seconds. I wonder if any of the people who just take a photo and then walk away will ever see their own pictures again?! You can find professional photography of all work of arts online. Why don't you just enjoy them! Anyway, this is one of the "Museums you have to see before you die". Highly recommend!

The Gallery is simply stunning, in that it contains some of the greatest masterpieces ever created. If your time in Florence is tight, this is a must!! Be aware, however, that the volume of visitors is almost beyond the imagination. Whatever way you reach the interior of the Gallery, be patient, cope with the masses and the noise, and enjoy the unique experience. It took me nearly 3 and a half hours on my visit, as I did two complete laps of the Gallery.

This day trip was incredible, I have always wanted to go to Italy, but Rome was the most talked about place, that we decided on another city so we chose Florence. You have to do a guided tour, it skips out all the stress so you can enjoy our tour with no worries. We never take into consideration, that they do a lot of work for us, so this is my reason for the review. To say thank you to the privatetour company we used. They were just so helpful, they called us when we arrived in florence. When the tour ended they called us that evening, we felt so relaxed and happy we choose them.

The gallery is well put together in chronological order. It would have been even better if there were more modern works as well, to complete the history of the evolution of art! I expected a bit more from what other people had said. Definitely worth going thought i'd give a reasonable 7/10

Each country in Italy is unreal, but for me Florence was amazing. We had the best time with our guided tours, which we searched on the internet to find. Mh wife and I are retired, and we wanted to just go out and see the world. We were so nervous, but as we decided on some help from a tour company, we were instantly put at ease. We found privatetour.com, and they really just saved the day.

I spent an afternoon at this magnificent gallery. I was amazed by the corridor of statues. Some of the very best artists of all time are displayed in this gallery including Michelangelo, Leonardo and Bottecelli. You can definitely get lost in the sheer excellence of time. Highly recommend you spend at least 3/4 hours here, queue jump tickets and early morning session was the best choice we ever made. Thank you!
