6 Day Luxury Golden Triangle Tour From Delhi - Reviews

My wife and I have recently returned from a 6 day Golden Triangle tour with GeTS Holidays and had a marvellous experience with outstanding customer service and great flexibility that larger tour companies just don’t provide. We travel a fair amount and are sometimes sceptical about the claims of some companies of what we can expect that fall well short of what they say, but not this time. I can’t emphasize how Good GeTS services are and will definitely use them again when we go back to India to visit other locations. We wanted a Golden Triangle tour and wanted to change a few details from their usual tour and GeTS gave us exactly what we what we wanted and at such great price and still can’t believe it and have recommended them to friends, which can be fraught as you hope they will get the same level of service as you have had but I have no reservations in doing so. You get what you pay for and right from the beginning the choice of everything is down to you, what type of hotel and standard of hotel, hotel board and transport between destinations. We didn’t want the International hotels in the very posh tourist areas we wanted good B&B hotels to give us the flexibility of exploring the cities we visited at nights. To give you a flavour of the service it was like this: We were met off the plane by a GeTS rep with a printed sign with our names on it and our driver(Gurvinder) who would be with us for the duration of our tour. They took us to the hotel, checked us in. Before leaving Gurvinder asked what time we wanted to start the tour of Delhi and was early, ready and waiting. Took us around showed us not only the sites, but what we should expect to pay for certain items and services and was ready when we were ready to leave each location. Not like the tourist coaches that turned up at some locations and were told they “only had 90 mins here or they had an hour here”. Then he dropped us off in the city centre for us to explore again, Again before leaving asked us what time we wanted to leave to go to Agra the following morning. Gurvinder was ready early toured a part of Delhi we hadn’t seen then onto Agra, At Agra we were met again by a GeTS rep to check us in to the hotel and ensure we had everything we needed. We opted for aguide for the Taj Mahal which on reflection was a very good choice, he negotiated the minefield of touts, photographers, and beggars. He ensured we got some great and memorable photos by encouraging or bullying the touting photographers out of the way for him to take our photos even Diana’s bench. The same routine the following morning we told Gurvinder what we wanted to start and he was their ready and waiting onto Jaipur. On arrival at Jaipur again a GeTS rep was there to check us in and ensure we had everything we needed. Rather than taking the car back to Delhi after Jaipur we had requested that GeTS arrange for a train journey, which was a good eye opener. Gurvinder took us the GeTS office in Jaipur for one of their reps to ensure we got onto the right train. Not only did the rep wait with us to ensure we got onto the right train, but he also carried our bags onto the train and showed us to our seats. When we arrived at New Delhi Station 4hrs later another GeTS rep was waiting right outside the train carriage with a sign with our name on, carried our bags to the waiting car, and whisked us off to the hotel and checked us in and arranged the pick-up time the following morning. Both driver and GeTS rep were at the hotel the following morning ready to take us to the hotel and dropped us right at the terminal door. I have skipped some of the little things is that on the first day Gurvinder stopped off at a western type restaurant for lunch which was fine. But following that we told him that we didn’t want western we wanted local and that’s exactly what he gave us. We will go back to India again and definitely go with GeTS holidays.

A friend recommended Gets to us and we were not disappointed. From the moment we first made contact via email, they responded within 24 hours with an email and a phone call. We let them know how long we wanted our holiday to be, what we wanted to see and our budget and they ran with it from there. Within a day or two they had sent us a suggested itinerary with the stipulation that anything could be changed. We did alter several things and it was not a problem for them and our final itinerary suited us perfectly. We had booked quite a long way in advance and Gets kept us informed and up to date - just having that contact was reassuring that they had not forgotten us. Once we arrived in India, everything went as planned and ver smoothly. Our driver was there to meet us and he certainly looked after us every step of the way (thank you Virender Sharma, aka Mr Sharma the Charmer). Long story short, more than happy and very impressed with Gets Holidays
