Visiting Athens should be the trip of a lifetime and for that reason, we offer outstanding tours that reflect our passion for the magnificent capital city. With Best Athens shore excursion you will be in the hands of experts and will not miss anything that Athens has to offer regarding structures and atmosphere.

Many Best Athens shore excursion promises to take you to Acropolis Hill at the same time which means that the location will be busy and extremely hot meaning that ultimately, you won’t be getting the experience you desire and deserve.

For this reason, after picking you up from the cruise terminal and travelling to Athens itself, we begin at the Acropolis Hill. This allows our visitors to experience the beauty of the location while the temperature is bearable and while it is quiet enough not to have to worry about crowds.

Best of Athens Shore Excursion will take you to the Parthenon, via the Propylaea and its historical gate, which is the temple built in honour of Athena and then on to the Erechtheion; the latter is said to be full to the brim with ancient relics of the Athenians themselves.

You will also get to experience the Athena Nike temple which was first erected as a layer of protection for the gate of the citadel. The sights don’t end there though as the Acropolis itself offers magnificent views of the Tower of the Winds, the Theatre of Dionysos as well as the Herodes Atticus Theatre.

After this, the Temple of Zeus will be the focus of attention; this temple took over 700 years to complete and was the biggest of its kind in Ancient Greece. You will then move on to the site of the first ever Olympic Games from way back in 1896; the Panathenaic Olympic Stadium. From here, the group will head to the biggest hill in the capital in the shape of the Lycabettus Hill, which provides a fantastic sight of the surroundings making it perfect for photos.

If all this isn't enough, the trip continues to the Ancient Agora and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier where you will witness the changing of the guards right next to the Greek Parliament. Furthermore, you will take a quick visit to the New Acropolis Museum after enjoying the delicious Greek cuisine. Only once all these sites have been appreciated, admired and photographed beyond doubt, will the trip end and we take you right back to the starting point at the cruise terminal.

No doubt, it is one of the best place for honeymoon. I spent a great time there during my honeymoon. I am not a really photographer type, but I couldn't help myself from taking pictures, cause I wanted to memorized the beautiful landscape.

I personally is a big fan of excursion, for that reason, no doubt any kind of excursion will be great for me, however Athen shore excursion became the greatest one! During the excursion you have to walk a lot, so I suggest you to wear a pair of comfortable shoes. And you may also need water with you, I don't have to mention excursion will take you 2-3 hours at least. One bottle of water would't be bad especially if you're going in summer. The view is amazing, totally worth it!

To be honest, I didn't enjoy my Athen shore excursion. It had nothing to do with the excursion tour itself, tour was perfect, and the sight was amazing, only problem was my baby girl. It was really a wrong choice to take my 4 years old baby girl to the tour! She was not interested with the tour and kept crying. I had to stop every now and then to calmed her down. At last, I couldn't stand it, and we got out of there. Not a great experience but I definitely will go for the second time without kids, it actually worth it.

On our private tour holiday to Greece we had a great time everything went smoothly from start to finish. The tour guides were great and we had a laugh with them on the few different tours we went on. The hotel staff and food was great, Santorini was the highlight for us the blue and white houses and pensions were amazing. Private tours were great we would defo use them again. Eileen and Pete
