Millions of people visit the capital of Germany each year, and one of the reasons for this is because of the history that Berlin has to offer. As a result of this, we have created a tour that encompasses one of the history’s most famous events - the Cold War. In Berlin cold war Teufelsberg guided tour, you will spend time exploring and discovering the ideas that fuelled the battle between East and West.

At the beginning of the day, we will start at Berlin Wall Memorial where you will learn all about its history, how it was constructed as well as why.

After standing tall for 28 years, you will see the only preserved section of the landmark. In addition to this, you will hear stories and tales that came as a result of the wall before heading off to East Side Gallery where you can actually walk the longest stretch of wall remaining.

The Gallery is also the largest outdoor gallery not only in Germany, in the world.

After this, we will take you to Grunewald forest and up the Teufelsberg or Devil’s Mountain; the famous hill is constructed from the rubble of Berlin Wall.

Before it was knocked down, though, it served a very important purpose as a spying facility. Firstly, you will tour the area and secondly you will learn how and why it was important during the Cold War. For those that enjoy a stunning view or two when in a new city, we can also ensure a few of those over Berlin and the surrounding area.

It is important to note that there are conversations regarding the closure of the European street gallery meaning that now really is the time to take your trip to the German capital.

OurBerlin cold war Teufelsberg guided tour, will last around four and a half hours so you will be free to enjoy your evening however you wish, and prices will vary depending on how many people are in the booking.

The Cold War area has already turned into a art exhibition. You can barely find any signs of cold war. We went up the hill on a rainy day in November which gave us the chance to be almost alone on the site. It was great to escape from the crowd, we had so much fun there playing with our own echoes in the tower. It was suggested on the website that it's better not to take your kids there, so we left our 2.5 years girl at home with her grandma. But I think it's ok to take who can look after themselves.
