8 The tombs in the Valley of the Queens mainly belong to the 19th and 20th dynasties. A total of nearly 80 graves are known, almost all of them excavated between 1903 and 1905. A lot of the graves are without ornamentation and bare, resembling just caverns in the stone. The Valley of the Queens is the most well-known for the Tomb of Queen Nefertari.
