Prague is now one of the most visited cities in all of Europe and is slowly becoming a strong competitor to the famous capitals in the continent. One of the reasons for this is the history that the capital has to offer; there are many museums and landmarks for visitors that allow a good level of learning and knowledge to be gained. The most popular museum in Prague Private Jewish Quarter And Museum Tour is The Jewish Museum, which includes four synagogues, is one of the most visited locations in all of Czech Republic.

Our Private Prague Tour takes you to all four synagogues at the location as well as the Old Jewish Cemetery along with all the other little sights available; for example, an art gallery and Old Ceremonial Hall can both be explored. For more than 600 years, Jewish people settled in the Prague Jewish ghetto and the museum tells their story and what life was like in the area. Learn all about how Prague was one of the few cities in Europe during World War Two that kept its Jewish heritage.

Old-New Synagogue - See where Franz Kafka once attended services. This synagogue is one of Europe’s oldest active synagogues and is the oldest building in Jewish Town.

Spanish Synagogue - The picturesque setting surrounds the building that is newer than most but still has a story to tell. The architecture is inspired by 19th Century Spain and has a beautiful dome and Torah ark art.

Maisel Synagogue - First built in the 1500s, this building was originally intended for the rich mayor at the time. This synagogue played an important role in WWII as the Nazi’s held more than 6,000 objects here.

Klausen Synagogue - Finally, this is the location and building place for the legendary Golem that was supposed to protect the neighbourhood. Beautiful stucco decoration and stain-glassed windows fill the synagogue.

Our three hour 'private jewish quarter and museum tour' will allow you to enjoy all these sights as well as the Pinkas synagogue and the Old Jewish Cemetery. If required, we can pick you up from your hotel and finish the tour in a number of locations around the city. There is only a small amount of walking necessary on this tour and you will be provided with a specialist English-speaking tour guide.

I highly recommended the museum tour! you don't have to be a Jewish to love it! The meaningful complex of the buildings would be a good reason for you to feel shocked.
