Zhouzhuang Water Town is a beautiful location and the most-famous waterside town in all of China, but many people believe it to be too far away from Shanghai to be worth a visit. Based in Kunshan City, Jiangsu Province, Zhouzhuang is a place full of lakes and rivers. With a history lasting over 900 years, you have an opportunity to visit the location that boasts some buildings erected in the Qing and Ming Dynasties.

All in all, there are around 100 houses in the small town, and over half of them have a specially-built carved brick archway. Zhouzhuang water town probably is the most beautiful and interesting water town near Shanghai. It has like almost nine hundred years of history. I've already felt extremely stimulated when I took my first step in there. The atmosphere effected me a lot. Only one thing bothered me a lot was that there were too many tourists over there, you can hardly find a place to take a picture or have a rest without being interrupted by others. It is better to go there early morning or at night.

I was dubious about this tour but when we got a great quote for 8 people I thought why not! boy am I glad we had a super day and the water village was just unreal. The area is a little busy with tourists but it was still well worth it.
