Half Day Private Hiking Tour at Badaling Great Wall - Reviews

It was my childhood dream to see the Great Wall seeing it by hiking was even better than i thought... Half day was enough but the view i could just sit and watch all day long..Always friendly people.. What else would you want.. ON POINT!!!!!!

We were in China for a few days prior to a cruise and one day after. We booked this tour on our first day in the city and it was a great way to start our trip. We wanted the highlights of China and that is what we got. Our guide was great and her English was excellent. A wonderful hiking tour. Thank you.

Well, what can we say, it’s one of the 7 wonders and wondrous is exactly what it was! Hot as hell and packed to the nines, but worth every moment for the stunning views and history. I’d suggest the cable car to everybody it was just simply breathtaking.

Had a pleasant trip to the Great Wall section at Badaling. The Wall there is very beautiful and offers a nice view of the cliffs that surround it. I recommend bringing a camera because there are almost no crowds, which makes it perfect for pictures. Be prepare to hike though because it is a little bit more challenging than other walls, but nothing to worry about. I simply loved it.

Our guide was so friendly right from the start. Very knowledgeable about the area and the history. Made us feel like family. Answered any questions we had and was helpful with anything we needed. All around a great experience! You will not be disappointed. Hiking was great on the great wall!!!

We choose this tour because it was the uncrowded part of the wall and Wow, we were not disappointed! He took us on a little hike with our teenage son and we were amazed by the views and the locals! No lines, no pushing and actually walking on the wall and able to see the towers. An amazing experience that we will never forget! I was amazed by the views and we even had lunch with an amazing view of the wall it was totally mesmerizing and unforgettable. Thank you, we had a wonderful time!

First, do not go if it's raining (it's very steep, so very slippery walking up and down the path to the different towers on the wall) Second, do not go on a foggy day. It was my only day available and I wanted so much to walk on the wall, but what a disappointment! Nothing like in the pictures with a clear blue sky. We couldn't see more than 150 or 200 feet away (look at my picture). Third but mostly, almost every piece of the Badaling section has been recently rebuilt. So you walk on the wall and you feel it was built 20 or 30 years ago, not 700 years ago! Now I can say I've been to that New Great Wonder. Did I enjoyed it no. Mostly because of the weather I agree. So do not make the same mistake as I did: if the weather is not nice, just don't go, Beijing has so many other nice attractions to see!
