My Perfect Paris Holiday Highlights
I will never forget my first time in Paris and how I fell in love with this wonderfully romantic city. I headed off for France in May for my 30th birthday with a group of friends. I had been told by many people to watch out for so many things, but there was no need as I had one of the best holidays of my life.
I was in two minds as to booking tours before we left the States or when we were there thankfully, we booked all our private tours before we left home and saved lots of money. The Eiffel Tower and city private Paris tour was a highlight for me it was amazing we all had a great day, and it was worth the ticket costs especially when we saw all the people queueing. We headed and made our way down to the Arc De Triomphe and the view of the Avenue des. The Champs-Élysées has now become one of my favourites. Getting up to the Arc, and climbing the 284 steps to the top was exhausting but worth every ace and pain to get there and see the panoramic views. I found the French people to be friendly but not over-friendly and very gracious but when it comes to food Paris was the top for me. We did a Paris foodie tour, and it was terrific, walking around the beautiful city and tasting some great food will stay with me for the rest of my life. I drew the line at trying Roast Pigeon as it was not my scene but I gave everything else a go, and it worked out OK for me. Our Paris tour guide was hilarious and treated us to some extra stops on our tour. I took the opportunity when we had some downtime to hire a Segway with my friends, and we were whizzing around for a delightful hour it's a must-do when you visit Paris. I learned within hours to embrace every second I was spending in this beautiful city and booking our Paris tours was the best thing we did.
